Rain most of the day. So, I just went after the saturated colors.

Testing out a new wide angle, wide format instant film camera from the nice people at Lomography UK.
Managed to get 13 shots out of 20 to more or less work OK, which isn't too bad for a first attempt.
Instant film in bulb mode is an interesting challenge.
Took a walk in the country this morning to play with the in-camera HDR settings. The high contrast in this shot was unexpected. But I kind of like what was produced "automagically". :-)

Sometimes I forget what a gorgeous city I am honored to live in. Today I didn't.
I got off the bus at the regular time, just as the sun was setting. I walked through the market again to see what images were happening, and the evening light was stunning. I saw Rainier (what Seattleites call simply "the Mountain") framed by Seahawks Stadium (NOT Qwest field, mind you), and Safeco Field.
Basically, I stood at the north end of Pike Place Market, swapped lenses, used a cement wall to steady my hands, and shot a few images, and this one came out.
No postprocessing done. Shot raw and converted in Lightroom after a minor crop.
First day of the year requires something a bit different. So here ya go!

Got home the other night and was going to head straight over to teppanyaki, but some neighbors were setting up fireworks for the children in the complex, so I decided to stop and see if I could take pictures. Fortunately they didn't mind. This shot is one of my favorites from that evening.

I found this natural bouquet in my yard this morning and decided to do some autumn art . . . kinda.
