Connecting to the previous print, of Shi Jin, the Chinese bandit-hero known for his nine dragon tattoos, here we see a sort of parody or mitate of that, depicting a geisha whose kimono bears nine dragons, in what is supposedly (and I believe it) a direct intentional reference to that tattooed hero.

I rainbowed it out today! Trying to make myself feel better, since my day got off to a crappy start. All in all, it was okay. I made the best out of it. :D

A run-in with the blade of an immersion blender. Nineteen stitches and amazingly very little pain, but a lot of blood.
There's a fair chance the bit of the house they're exploring (3 doors remain closed) is the biggest space they've ever run about in.
Tried out the Canon G7 point and shoot camera at the NIN Concert Nov 14, at Copps Coliseum in Hamilton Ontario. Really surprised with the cameras results, apart from the high noise at 800ISO, the manual focus set at infinity, and full control of shutter and f-stop made up for it.
Awesome show, even if you’re not too big in NIN, this is a light show not to be missed, just blew me away.

Nine Years is a festival we hold every nine years at harvest time and is inspired by the ancient ceremonies of Upsalla, Sweden. The theme of the 2011 ceremony was the nine worlds of Germanic mythology. Behind the altar a tree was decorated with nine offerings from each of the participants.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall spent a fantastic day in Auckland, New Zealand on day Nine of their Diamond Jubilee visit which takes in in Papua New Guinea and Australia.
The Prince and The Duchess visited the Millennium Institute of Sport, saw a performance of children's tale Hairy Maclary from Donaldson's Dairy.
Despite the rain, they also were greeted by thousands of people in Auckland city centre and were incredibly touched by the welcome.
The Duchess attended an osteoporosis reception as she is President of National Osteoporosis Society in the UK and she also visited East Tamaki Primary School to see how the children were learning to grow plants and then cook them, and enjoyed a particularly good carrot cake.

Niner Von Raesfeld, a 20 month old German /Austrailian Shepard mix, was the First ever Mascot for the Lupus Foundation of Northern California's Annual 5K Run and walk for Lupus. He raised 450 dollars for the Lupus Foundation thanks to family and friends who voted for him at one dollar/ vote.This photo was put together by my good friend Susan.
