I had not planned to take this. I was looking the other way, at the landslips, that have affected Folkestone. Converted to black and white using Silver Efex.
A performing group was getting ready and what caught my eye was the young girl sitting quietly with pre-performance chaos around her. The man in the yellow shirt is a photographer with the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
A moody black-and-white photograph captures a small traditional Chinese pavilion standing quietly at the edge of a city street in China Town Manchester. Its dark wooden columns and curved roof create a strong, symmetrical frame in the foreground, contrasting with the modern glass buildings and scaffolding rising behind it.
The image feels like a moment of calm held within movement, where tradition quietly persists amid the changing rhythms of China Town Manchester.

I'm playing with this image in Nik Collection. I took the shot last April, but a friend has asked for a version of this to frame.

Windy day allowed some interesting cloud movement around Haytor on Dartmoor. Long exposure of 25 seconds, tripod weighted down to minimize movement, f/13.0 , ISO 50, focal length 14mm. Processed in LightRoom 6 and Silver EFEX Pro 2

Cykelslangen, or Cycle Snake, is an elevated orange bike lane, wriggling its way over the harbour, seamlessly connecting the highway and the harbour bridge.

Took the camera along for a late afternoon lakeside ride - a place that I treasure dearly. There was no colourful sunset, but some interesting clouds came along.
After an enjoyable morning exploring the Culbin side of Findhorn Bay with Carol and Steve I headed back towards Inverness.
I have known about Rait Castle for a long while and driven past it dozens of times without stopping, but today was the day to put that right.
I was impressed with the condition of the castle considering it isn't a 'tourist trap' and isn't sign posted or obvious from the road. The semi-spherical domed ceiling/roof in the north tower is particularly interesting.
