The view from the front of Saddam's daughter's palace, which is now like an Army frat house. This is a fake lake stocked with carp or some such fish. Not pretty in the daytime, but nice at night.

The brownish shadows (more visable in thumbnail view) are due to curled negatives not sitting flat in the scanner. I've got far too much of a backlog to rescan. Going forward I might try the trick of sitting the negatives under a heavy book for a few days first before scanning. Some negatives are curlier than others, its a bit frustrating but these aren't high art by any stretch of the imagination so I'm just ignoring the effect for now...

In front of my hotel, two nice Tourist Ladies from Paraguay were posing with the flag of their country, with on the background the beautiful Caucasus Mountains panorama.
Just getting the hand of HDR, need a bit more practice. This photo was taken on the coast of Lanzarote.
Trying out a cheap set of ND filters on a Photography club outing.
I've always wanted to try out those long daylight exposures shots but wasn't prepared to fork out a load of cash just on a whim
So I bought a cheap set of 8 ND filters + Cokin P Holder and 9 lens adaptor rings and Hood for only £12.99, less than the price of 1 cokin filter
They work well,get the effect you want, white balance can be an issue so need to set it to manual and use a white card or you can fix it in post processing.
Still a work in progress but if I get the bug I can buy the better Cokins and still use the same Holder.
I have to mention on this trip, one of the guys was using Lee Filters (£115 each)!! Misjudged the position of his tripod leg, It toppled over and Bam, one cracked filter,camera was Ok, I felt his pain
This was the very dangerous road, we drove on. Passing was almost impossible. At the right you can see the Road, At the left there's the river, which was at least 50 meters below us, at the place, where I took this picture.
