It's been a while!

I actually went on holiday but as soon as I got back I got really hammered with work and didn't even have time yet to properly go through my holiday photos!

But as soon as I do this, expect more.

Anyway, spotted this amazing view while walking back from work. It's the Regent's Canal, looking towards Angel.

I really like this spot, in the morning, especially when it's a bit foggy it looks very cool, too. I had a plan to actually start a set called "365 views Regent's canal", but...

View From The Mound, Edinburgh City

The Mound is an artificial hill in central Edinburgh, Scotland, which connects Edinburgh's New Town and Old Town. It was formed by dumping over 1,500,000 cartloads of earth excavated from the foundations for the New Town into the drained Nor Loch which forms today's Princes Street Gardens.

The construction of the Earthen Mound, as it was originally called, was begun in 1781 and it was extended over the years until by 1830 it was macadamised and landscaped so that it appeared more or less complete. When the Edinburgh and Glasgow Railway was extended to Waverley in 1846, tunnels were dug under The Mound to allow access to the West.

261 photos merged into one image. I like how the clouds seem to weave in and out of each other. I haven't been getting out much for timelapse photography lately. I still have the urge, so I've got a ton of timelapses with this view, from my back yard. I've just finished my antibiotics and I'm finally getting over a nasty bout of pneumonia. It's 'funny' all the 'little' things we take for granted every day. It's good to breathe easy!!! (or at least be close to it again)
