30 years ago, this gable of the Macintosh building was the view from my studio in the Planning Department of the Art School. I'm not sure that I appreciated it very much.

This is the same view as my previous Photo except without a zoom. Eiffel Tower. My advice to people who visit Paris. I know it seems logical to go to the top of the Eiffel tower when you go to Paris, but what is missing in the view? What is the most recognizable object in Paris? On the top of the 210 meters / 689 foot tall Tower Montparnasse skyscraper you can enjoy the best panorama in Paris, France.

InchColm Abbey was established as an Augustinian monastery in the twelfth century by David I, becoming an abbey in 1235. The Augustinian canons settled here in the early 1100s, to enjoy the island’s peace and isolation.

But Inchcolm’s Firth of Forth location also made it a target. English naval raids were common during the wars with England from the 1300s to the mid-1500s.

The story of conflict continued in 1795, during the Napoleonic Wars, a gun battery was installed when the French threatened to invade.

Inchcolm was heavily fortified in the early 1900s and also to the Second World War to protect Edinburgh and the Rosyth Dockyards

Despite its turbulent history, Inchcolm Abbey remains remarkably intact. Its thirteenth century cloisters are celebrated as some of the most well-preserved of their kind and visitors can even see a rare funeral frescos

Eagle Peak (the uppermost "brother"), and

Middle and

Lower Brothers.

Yosemite Falls on center right.

The waterfall on the far right is Lehamite Falls 1,180 feet

Flows for only a short time each year. You won't see it in many photographs.
