Skill is successfully walking a tightrope over Niagara falls. Intelligence is not trying.

This picture of the American Falls was taken from Niagara Falls, Ontario, just after sundown. After dark (10pm), there is a short fireworks display each night of summer.

Colored lights are beamed across the river to light the falls.

Horseshoe Falls - On Canadian side (1974)

Niagara Falls, Canada

I hesitated to take LE at Niagara Falls. The mist was too strong at anytime due to strong falls’ dropping force… It is so attractive to me, I have to try again and again, even with water sprays covering me and camera all the time… First time after lockdown, surprisingly lots of people here, the light was bright during daytime, had to use LEE 10-stop filter… The filter was covered with water sprays even a few seconds exposed outside. Here is Niagara Falls…

Niagara Falls, one of the world's most stunning natural wonders, linked with the U.S. by the Rainbow Bridge. The photo was taken at Horseshoe Falls, at the Canada side. Due to the strong falls power dropping force, the water spray is like raining all the time, even on a sunshine day. My camera and me were wet due to the strong mist and sprays from the falls, but luckily had rainbow, double rainbow…

The Niagara River, the American Falls and the Rainbow Bridge from the Canadian side.

It's amazing how even the American Falls didn't quite freeze after the cold winter we had in the area, the ice was quite thick though, up to 30 m thick in front of the falls.

Stopped by Niagara Falls while we were up in Syracuse this summer. This was the view, the US Falls in the front and the Canadian Falls in the back. The blue folks are wearing their blue thin plastic ponchos that they receive with their ticket to ride the Maid of the Mist boat which you can see by the US Falls. The Canadian version is called the Hornblower and boards on the Canadian side, you can see one of the boats up by the Canadian Falls.

My attempt at stitching two shots taken from a moving vessel to make a panoramic shot of the American Falls (to the left) and Bridal Veil Falls (on the right) as we make our way towards Horseshoe Falls. For much of the time I couldn't see very well through my wet glasses, and my phone took a drenching, but we had a great day out.

Where better for Winter ice than the majestic Niagara Falls?

“Niagara Falls is very nice. I'm very glad I saw it, because from now on if I am asked whether I have seen Niagara Falls I can say yes, and be telling the truth for once.”

Niagara Falls - view across the illuminated waterfalls to the Canadian side

I was going through and organizing my Lightroom catalogue and came across this image. Taken on a trip with family to Niagara Falls Ontario Canada, I am always amazed of the colour of the water on the rim..This is a combination of two photos..there are two different shutter speeds involved here. One to capture the softness of the actual fall and a faster shutterspeed to capture the dramatic rapids above the fall.

Shooting at night is way cooler after it rains.. You get some great reflections off of everything including foliage.
