We fled the Dutch fireworks and had this instead at Lauwersmeer in The Netherlands.

I was staying at my daughter's house and we had a fleeting touch of red in the sunrise. A lovely way to start the New Year and another 365.

To all of my friends here on Flickr, may you have a Happy New Year! I wish you the best for 2018! And I look forward to getting to know you all better during the coming year.

2020 gone (but not forgotten) its legacy spills over into the new year. So considering what we`ve all been through it seems odd saying `Happy New Year` I suppose it should be a `Happier New Year`. However,even though we have a bit to go, things are looking up and there`s a promise of better times to come , so for what you`ve had to put with in 2020 can I wish you all a `HAPPY NEW YEAR` for 2021
