An ode to Imagination. This posting is an ode to the movie “Mighty”, one of my favorite films ever. Out of a very impossible situation, two boys conquer their challenges as a team and live by the code of honor as inspired by King Arthur and his noble knights. Out of their exquisite imagination pours an elixir of courage and heroism which touches all those around them. (It’s beautiful to see how one of the two boys gently opens up the creative process of the other.)
Fitting to the theme of this posting are the words of my Teacher:
“We must be able to think freely before we can vision freely.” – Tulshi Sen
New "Impossible" mission: testing the new generation of PX600 and PX70 films for the Impossible Project. Had to take 80 portraits in 3 days. Some of them are exhibited at Photokina festival right now, in an exhibition called "Facing the Impossible". :)

funny, this is a total candid snapshot from a lovely primary colors birthday party I was at the other night, but it works. phone calls turn into texting and texting turns into facebook/twitter statuses and it gets miscommunicated constantly. it's fucked up, our generation. aha, but this photo put a story in my mind of these two guys watching this girl, judging her, whispering about her, thinking she's bad news and yet they're just seeing a situation from their point of view--
I plan to redo this photo in the future. It's really true, just carrying my camera around every day has open my eyed so much more to storytelling. simple moments like this at a party--and I've always hated carrying around a camera at a party. it's definitely opened up my mind a lot more to what situations can be created in a viewable image...yet still be art.

Every year there's this little summer festival more or less in my backyard (i think it's 500 meters from my home)... but every year i manage to miss it somehow, but not this year. I saw the tents and heard the music today from my home. Online I checked the program and it seemed that a very steady lineup of Dutch rappers would perform this evening, so I went there and enjoyed the show!
How convenient, after the last performance I was home in five minutes!
