Avery on the day he took his drivers permit and passed it 100%! His brothers both got at least 1 wrong!

Each year, National Teen Driver Safety Week is established by Congress to bring attention to teen car crashes, which kill more teens ages 15-19 years in the U.S. than any other cause. Prevent Child Injury has created new resources and curated existing resources for a toolkit on the importance of talking to teens about safe driving. These images are made available as part of that toolkit. The full toolkit is available here: www.preventchildinjury.org/toolkits//teen-driving
Prevent Child Injury is a national coalition of injury researchers, public health professionals, child safety advocates, and others who care about kids. The coalition works to provide clear, concise messaging about child injury topics for parents and the public.
Our 16 year old son is a new driver. Only has his permit right now, so drives with my husband or me when he can. Not exactly "10 and 2" but he's doing well! :)

Knockhill at Sunset (taken from Knockhill Racing Circuit, by Dunfermline)
"The winding country lanes brought us out near Knockhill – the racing circuit where I’d once completed a work placement. Having been unable to find the gumption to drive on the public roads as an uninsured driver (and therefore an illegal driver), we headed for the circuit in the hope that the private track grounds might provide a last hope for driving Henry that day."
This photograph accompanies my 'Driver of the Day' article for the Standard Motor Club.

This magnet design was never available for sale, but it shows how we developed our product. As you can see, the letters are now white because it creates better contrasts and at night white lettering is more visible than black lettering. We also added a car to differentiate the student driver from the other drivers. We thought about including "Drive Slow" but eventually decided that we did not want other drivers to drive slow, we just wanted them to be cautious that the student driver might do something unexpected like stop abruptly or swerve.

Jasmine passed her written test in Florida this past week.
Now she will make her qualifying drives, and be on her way to being a racing driver and trainer.
This is a picture from her first driving race in Maine, Sept 2010, at the Cornish Horsemen's Day.
Reposting it here for the news!
(She did not need the license for the fair races in Maine, but does need it to continue as a professional driver)
