"It had been a long couple of days, filled with phone calls to insurance companies and finding there always yet another complication to deal with. Now old enough but not enough driving experience, wrong insurance but just beyond the ‘cooling off’ period, other companies willing to insure but wanting a fee far beyond what I’d allowed for. Would I ever find something suitable?"
