They did not change much compared to they dinosaur relatives. Chilling in the sunshine the whole day makes them seem super lazy. The more impressive it is to see them on the hunt.

The Hall of Mosses Trail in the Hoh Rainforest (part of the Olympic National Park) is filled with old temperate trees covered in green and brown mosses. Trees include bigleaf maples and Sitka spruces. The mosses on the trees do not damage the trees. However, the trees can fall by the winds in storms because of their shorter roots due to the abundance of nutrients and water in the forest. Many trees and mosses grow from and over the fallen tree trunks.

Saguaro National Park, Arizona | Another gorgeous Arizona sunset view! Such a great big beautiful place to be! :)
A few days ago, I re-visited a beautiful hidden gem that we accidentally found last year, in the mountains of NW Connecticut. While standing at the top of this waterfall was amazing enough of an experience, I had to go back to see if it was possible to get a different view. The extremely steep hike down into the ravine was pretty gnarly, & my tripod had to double as a hiking stick for extra support down & up the eroding bank of tangled tree roots, but it was obviously worth it for an afternoon spent off the grid! Plus, the view wasn't bad either! And THAT, my friends, is why you should NEVER STOP EXPLORING! :) | Mount Riga, CT
