From the 1st January 2020 fines may be levied against rail operators who have failed in their responsibilities to comply with accessibility legislation such as the Rail Vehicle Accessibility (Non-Interoperable Rail System) Regulations 2010 (RVAR 2010) and the Persons of Reduced Mobility Technical Specification for Interoperability (PRM TSI) regulations. As two car Networkers do not meet this legislation the 31st December 2019 was due to be the last time they were legally allowed to operate alone on the Bromley North line. 466010 photographed here would be the last legal and come midnight the first illegal train to run on the line.
However, on 20 November 2019 Jeremy Hotchkiss, Deputy Director for Rail Technical Industry Competitiveness at the Department for Transport made a special dispensation for the Bromley North branch line. This says that Class 466 vehichles are no longer permited to work independently after "31 December 2019, apart from units operated to provide services on the Bromley North branch line to and from Grove Park until 23:59 on 31 December 2020" (assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/syste...).

A suprise for me was this Class 97 at Beeston. I had not planned to see it but after hearing a 'next train is not scheduled to stop here' and the distinctive tractor growl, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to see a bit of departmental stock light loco, I'd assume that this is off to Derby as that's where I normally see these (stabled).

Elite6 Business Networking www.elite6.co.nz
We are a progressive and forward thinking business networking organisation that brings local businesses together each week for an hour of interactive networking.
At each meeting one member delivers a 15-minute presentation to the meeting.
Then, each person speaks for five minutes about their business while sitting at a table of six. Tables are mixed each week, so you get to meet different people. This is a major point of difference with Elite6 compared to other networking groups. Members are encouraged to meet outside the Elite6 meetings for further discussion about how their businesses might collaborate and/or refer to each other.
We also promote each business online with the Elite6 Members Directory each member has the ability to post Blogs and Events! Again this is distinctive to Elite6. Several groups meet each week in Ferrymead, Cashmere, Rolleston, Christchurch City, Tower Junction, Rangiora, Papanui, Waimakariri, Avonhead, Merivale and Sydenham with more groups springing up all the time in other areas.
We’d love to have you visit one of our groups so If you are interested in joining us Register online and one of our Facilitators will contact you!
