They equal rights community needs to understand the issue of net neutrality. If you don't know what Net Neutrality is then you will wake up one day and you won't have to wonder anymore. Sixty percent of the content on the web is produced by the private individual people. Corporations don't want independent media; they want a
monopoly on the web. Corporations control the content on television, radio, and newspapers. Corporations may allow a certain pre-selected common person to post an occasional letter to the editor but they control which letter. Corporations want regulation of your power of communication and your freedom of speech. The government is selling off the internet to corporations as they sold off radio band width to the corporations. Corporations want to control the internet like information toll gates. Corporations didn't create the internet they hijacked it like they did with radio, television and printing presses. Corporations want the internet to function like a television.
