Must give props to NY's finest - one of them barely brushed up against me when responding to a disturbance and instead of acting like I was in his way, he paused, turned quickly and said "excuse me sir" and continued to the disturbance. I was very impressed but that "sir" crap makes me feel old and he could have done without that!
