One of the two generic neon "BOWL" signs which were posted outside this long-closed bowling alley which was recently demolished.
The restored sign from the La Concha Hotel and Casino In Las Vegas. The Neon Museum uses the lobby of the old hotel for their Visitor Center.

Most photos I've seen of this great sign are taken from the south, so with the sun setting a bit more northerly already, I figured I'd come shoot from the other side.
I was so excited to see these today at the Chicago History Museum. I was there for a fundraiser. I did not have time to read any of the info about them as I was working, but I may be able to research the Zaretsky sign later. I’ll see ya tomorrow… I’m exhausted.😴
Austin’s historic Paramount Theater opened in 1915 as a vaudeville venue, originally as the Majestic. Performers from those early days included Harry Houdini, becoming a silent movie theater from the 1920s. A tie-in with Paramount Studios led to the adoption of the theatre’s present name. The signature blade sign was removed during renovations in the 1960s but was restored in time for the theater’s centenary in 2015.
