My platoon got called up to the outpost on Synthia to 'Negotiate' with the terrorists there. Sure. The Terran Alliance has the same policy every civilized nation has had: We don't negotiate with terrorists. When their leader came out to meet us, I shot him, as per orders. Jones started opening up on some other guy, pumping lead into the brush where he was hiding. An AG-45 HORNET Gunship flew over, cannon blazing. Then some more terrorists opened fire on us, and all h*** broke lose...
B.L.A.D.E Tech troopers, kitted out with the latest prototype armour and tools, stormed a Warehouse in the industrial area of Manhatan Island. The Terrorist group holding the CEO where disposed of swiftly.
The CEO was believed to have been abducted whilst boarding a plane in England. His Private Jet was subsquently Hijacked and Mr O'Dowd was taken abroad and held for ransom.
Representatives from B.L.A.D.E Tech have reported he is making a full recovery and will make a public apearance in a week.

This gentleman asked me for a couple bucks, I gave him three dollars to take his photograph. I really wish I waited for the red car to pass.
No one is a better businessman than a monkey. Growing up with constant battles over bananas and other fruits, a monkey can out-negotiate any businessperson. This is why a monkey is the top sales rep at the Continental warehouse.
Rumor has it that a peacock runs a whorehouse in the area, but so far, there's no evidence to back up this claim.

When pleading transitions to negotiations. Eva trying to convince us that she belongs in Hawaii.
Truth be told she was catching a treat, with the treat cloned out.
Parking outside of Jabba’s Palace was a difficult task, considering the guards usual fare. However, Luke managed to convince the Gamorreans, somewhat easily, that his and Biggs’ business dealings with Jabba should allow them to park for free. Obliging, the two guards stepped aside, allowing Luke to park his Landspeeder in a small hanger full of numerous vehicles.
“That was impressive,” Dub said as the speeder came to a halt, “I haven’t seen a negotiation go that well since the Clone Wars. And that was period of galactic war mind you.” Smiling as he exited his vehicle, Luke responded,
“Thanks.” Followed quickly by Biggs saying,
“They were Gamorreans. All they really do is grunt and drool.”
“Not unlike yourself.” Pike said as he walked past the group and towards the exit to the garage. Raising his hands defensively in shock, Biggs was met with Luke sarcastically saying,
“We were all thinking it.” The remaining trio then followed Pike out of the garage and into a narrow hallway where they were greeted by a white protocol droid,
“Good morning, sirs. I’m afraid Jabba isn’t feeling up to a meeting today, but if you wish to set one up I implore you to refer to Sek Fortuna in Anchorhead.”
“We’re not here to meet with Jabba…” Pike began before Luke stepped in front of him, cutting him off with,
“Yes we are. We wish to speak with the…great…powerful…exalted Jabba for only a few minutes,” Judging by the silence the protocol droid responded with, Luke persisted with, “After that we’ll leave. We only wish for a few minutes in the presence of the unassessably wealthy…stupendous…”
“Yes, I’m rather sure we know how great Jabba is. I will speak with him and be back in a moment.” With that, the white protocol droid turned and walked briskly down the stairs into Jabba’s throne room. Luke looked from Biggs to Pike and then to Dub who said,
“Ok, one time is a coincidence. Hell, even two times is. But, kid, there’s something about you. Something I haven’t seen in a very long time.”
“It’s called luck.” Luke firmly responded.
“That’s not what they would’ve said twenty years ago…” Dub said, chuckling to himself and looking up to see the white protocol droid returning.
“Who would’ve said…?” Luke began to ask as the protocol droid cut in,
“Jabba says you have five minutes. No more and no less.” The group descended the stairs as Biggs joked,
“If only Tarkin could see me now. Walking into a den of thieves and smugglers with weeks left before the academy.”
“Imperial bastard…” Pike mumbled to himself as Biggs spoke, and while the latter heard he was unaffected by the statement. In fact, in many ways, he agreed with it. As they all reached the bottom of the stairs, the enormous figure of Jabba the Hutt came into view. Surrounding him were various species of bounty hunters from across the galaxy including: a crippled Talz, a muscular Gamorrean, and a man who the group recognized immediately as Godden Mann grasping what looked like the hilt of some weapon. Turning Luke around to talk to him privately, Biggs asked,
“What exactly do you have planned here?”
“We talk to Jabba, and as we do, we give Dub and Pike time to talk to Godden Mann.” Luke responded calmly.
“You do know he can repossess both of our homes AND Skyhoppers at a whim, right? You have to have more of a plan than that if you want to…” Biggs was cut off by the booming voice of Jabba the Hutt. The two young friends turned around just as this was followed soon after by the voice of the white protocol droid translating what the Hutt had said,
“The mighty Jabba awaits your excuse for interrupting his rest.”

Presenting the old self-MOC that still makes me cringe... Mewi. He was the main character in my very old and very bad comic series. To give you an idea, the thing on his face was a "Krana of Insanity." Unfortunately, I didn't have half as much purple as I thought I did, so he's a little barebones, but at least he's pretty adorable. Sudden, cleaned up backstory time:
As far as the Archivists can figure, Mewi was once a Ba-Matoran trader who wandered off during negotiations with Metru Nui clients. Somehow, he ended up getting an unusual Archives relic stuck to his face: a Krana that showed all signs of a degrading mental state. It certainly is the only explanation for what happened since. Mewi has made a nuisance of himself all over Metru Nui, traveling through the Archives to ride specimens, swim in fountains, impersonate important figures, and douse random Matoran in purple paint from a Zamor launcher he stumbled across. The Matoran can only pray that the Vahki will catch him one day...

/Temirzhanov- So, Mr.C_n__d, I suppose you're here to negotiate. Tajikistan, is that what you want?
/C_nr_d- I don't sir, but my assets do. You here to talk business or what?
/Temirzhanov- I suppose I am. What are your terms?
/_o_ra_- I don't think you understand the seriousness of the situation... Mr.Temirzhanov. You see, The Messengers aren't gonna work with anyone. They want Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, and they're going to get them. Whether by their own force, or yours.
The only reason the NSRE is doing the negotiation, is because the bloody extremists are imposing it upon us.
They are helping us with the invasion, and the extermination of Abdullah. That counts for something right?
/Temirzhanov- Well, tell the Messengers the only way to take Uzbekistan is by peaceful negotioation, we don't want another war, not like the one that almost tore our country in two, it's already been too costly to be fighting those fanatical PIKR bastards.
Well, it seems as if you're in a tight spot aren't you? Tell me, Mr. C___a_, do you really want to help the messengers for the reason you say, or is it just for more land and oil?
As for Abdullah, he's already lost, his country, in shambles, his military, in disarry, there's no chance for him. It would be a miracle if he doesn't commit suicide the moment your forces reach the city.
/C_onr__- Mr.Temirzhanov, meet my associate Premier Hassan, he is to be elected Minister to the Saudi Arabians after we've assumed complete control, that'll explain the chaos.
/Hassan- Hello Mister, let me get this straight to the point, I don't trust, the Tajiks don't trust you, the Saudis don't trust, and to be straight to the point, the Uzbeks are putting up a deceiving facade of lies.
They don't trust you either.
I can speak for the NSRE on the account of your, let's say...accusations? They are a middleman. Merely a negotiator in this sense, but it's easy to see they could destroy in a moment, if they liked. Their monarch is key player in world politics today, and let's not doubt it, probably the most powerful man on earth. Why would he want Tajikistan if he already has the best- Saudi Arabia?
Abdullah is somewhere in Syria they say. Who knows what his next actions will be? Rumors have it that he's coming for you next....
Let's not deny the truth.
/Temirzhanov- Premier Hassan, let me be blunt with you, I don't trust them either, but we need to expand, and they need the supplies. So far with our help they're on the final push to the capital, and the faster that happens, the faster the deed is done. Make no mistake, I am an honest man, Mr. Hassan...
.....But I do have a hidden agenda....
So you don't deny that you're just using them as a pawn in your game of arab chess? And back to your point, if they don't trust anyone, what makes you think that they trust you? For all you know they could be planning to shove you out as soon as they establish a new government. Which means no oil, and a bunch of maniacle messengers with the same plan as everyone else, world domination, which could be a threat to all of us.
Well, it seems we have a common enemy in Abdullah. You want him gone? Because I know I do.
/Hassan- Now I'll be blunt with you.
The day before the Parliament recognized Islam as our holy state religion, I myself met the Emperor in all his honor, in his Warsaw estate.
We are friends, and there is no one in the world I trust more. The Emperor keeps his word, I can assure you that he is a trustworthy man. He is not my pawn, but rather, I am his pawn. I can't tell you the rest, but rest assured this is a warning, stay away from European political ideals and you will not be bitten. You and I both know, he demands your country be a monarchy.
And now, I can reveal my hidden agenda to you.
In return for these negotiations, the NSRE has made sure that I state, that their interest in your state is great, and that you should consider your governmental ideas. Perhaps keep a monarchy in mind?
Now back to Arab affairs.
I want Abdullah gone, but I dare say, it won't be easy. By his word, the Bedouins of Arabia will mobilize and terrorize your country. National leaders will be slain, one way or another I suppose.
/Temirzhanov- Monarchy, that word just doesn't sit right with me. And what do you mean by "their interest in your state is great"? If they mean ceding land that will certainly not happen. But if they wish to form an alliance, so be it, I've heard of his power, and I most certainly don't want to be put on his "hit list" so to speak.
Exactly, Abdullah is a coward, he doesn't even have any "official" power and yet he's trying waving it around like the white flag his troops are waving. You and I both know he's a danger to everyone, and I hope you can ask the emperor who the real enemy is.
/Hassan- Indeed, I just spoke with Conrad on a secure line.
This is only between you and me, but I believe he said something about mobilizing NSRE Deniable Ops. Something's up, he's making a move for Abdullah.
I suggest you beat him to it, show him your friendly by taking on Abdullah first. I think he'll take a liking to your tenacity.
Their interest, is merely a hope that you will ponder over the idea of a Monarchy. You and I both know, not too long ago, Conrad and Bragger vowed that they would destroy any power in Europe that was not a monarchy.
Maybe we have more than one common enemy... (the NRDG)
The Emperor knows that you could be a potential friend, and I think you should exploit the opportunity by taking action, no?
Anyhow, be prepared for anything.
Wait... I am receiving a radio transmission from one of my assets...
Abdullah is here, this line isn't safe anymore, we think he's trying to kill you, right no-

Hangar 11 in Edmonton is at risk of being demolished. I didn't realize the significance of Hangar 11, until a friend's post on Facebook. I think Edmonton's City administration has done a good job presenting information to Edmonton's Executive Council; background, pros and cons, NAITs needs, etc. It's complex. I'd prefer the hanger be preserved because once it's gone, it's gone. I hope a compromise can be found between Edmonton's heritage, Blatchford development and NAITs expansion goals.
Hangar 8 (L) - demolished 2016, Hangar 11 (R) from July 2010 w/pair of CF-18 Hornets.
"Hangar 11, located on the east side of the Blatchford redevelopment site, is on the Inventory of Historic Resources in Edmonton. The building, constructed by the United States Army Air Force in 1942, is the last structure from this era remaining on the Blatchford site. While historically very significant, the current condition of the building means it would require extensive rehabilitation, and the adaptive re-use opportunities are unknown at this time. The building is also sited on lands that are subject to negotiation between the City and the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT)."
"Historical Background of Hangar 11
Hangar 11 is listed on the Inventory of Historic Resources in Edmonton, and is the last remaining Second World War-era hangar structure on the Blatchford site. The building serves as a direct and tangible reminder of the role Edmonton played in the global conflicts of the 20th century that shaped the modern world. It is believed to be one of the last remaining buildings of its kind in western Canada, possibly in the nation, and is
one of the most significant historic structures in Edmonton."

In the last months of World War II, Haigerloch was the location of the Kaiser Wilhelm Institute of Physics, part of the German nuclear program, which had the goal of achieving practical use of nuclear fission. According to current view the atomic bomb was not a direct objective of this work, but initially only the construction of the Haigerloch Research Reactor, which was constructed in a beer cellar beneath the palace church. Through courageous negotiations by the pastor to rescue the reactor facility it was spared from demolition by an American command on April 24, 1945, and today is the site of the Atomkeller-Museum with a replica of the reactor (from Wikipedia). After the release of the Barkley Island Government official in exchange for a satellite phone, the task force continued to negotiate the release of the remaining two Foreign Service Officers who are being held captive by the local gang. However after several weeks have passed, negotiations have stalled.
Fearing for the safety of the hostages, the Cabinet Incident Response Group authorized a rescue mission.
Under the cover of darkness, the rescue force performed a hard duck helocast insertion from a Chinook helicopter and stealthy swam towards the camp. The rescue force silently infiltrated the camp and successfully rescued the hostages.
The end.

Today was the Manteo Christmas parade on Roanoke Island! I love the old time feel with a southern touch with marching bands and local business floats and dance schools that march and dance! It is hokey in such a good, fun way! They toss candy to the kids along the way!
Afterward there is a craft sale at the local grade school, where the kids can shop for inexpensive gifts for their family, an outdoor play and game area with bounce houses and an area with food. In the Cafeteria there is a stage with Santa ...complete with a REAL beard, for photos and a raffle and silent auction!
We had a fun day...and i helped Luke choose a gift for mom and dad...while Aunt Brittany helped Lileigh Choose for his mom and Uncle Tim helped Noah get gifts for the grandparents and his mom!!
Luke is asking Santa for “A hand measurer...that you put your hand on the wall and then it lights up” ....in all seriousness he says he saw this in a catalog his mom had ...which of course she no longer has! NO ONE has a clue what he is talking about and thus this heart to heart with Santa today, explaining it to him!
As we were leaving, my daughter turned to Santa and said, “i really hope you got that because we are all clueless...i am counting on you!” He laughed.....sigh....i guess he does not know either!! LOL!!
A young Mt Goat kid negotiates a model contract with the photographer, Dennis E Kirkland. I have had many people ask me if I had ever had close encounters with the wildlife I have photographed. The answer is yes, but I usually don't have someone (in this case, my wife) photographing me while I have these encounters...they are great fun! Best viewed large. All rights reserved.
