OK you wouldn't get me fighting Conor McGregor but even his fights look tame compared with the life and death struggles of wildlife

Every time I jump on my bike, I ride like a loose cannon. I really admire Andie for having the courage to ride with me. Even though it was a bit challenging for her to hold on tight and not fall off, she handled it like a champ.

You would expect that nine in the morning would have the Spotted Towhee bright and chipper, but it looked very much like it needed its breakfast coffee...NOW!

...or at least a little sunshine.

The house is nice; the sheds? Not so much. Co. Mayo, Ireland.

Another architectural gem from Las Vegas, NM - the Rawlins building. It sits across the street from the restored railroad building, and an old hotel currently under restoration.

"Wildlife needs wilderness-not just to survive, but also to live freely. Sadly, many species struggle to survive due to increased human activity and expansion into habitats they call home." - Zoe Helene

This little guy is a different Marten from my previous post. These guys hang out by the garbage cans in the provincial park looking for human food. They are much like raccoons in that way. We need to find a way to co- exist with the wildlife in a way where we are not taking over all their freedom to roam or interfere with their natural diet. Maybe we should learn to pack up our garbage to take home when we are camping. If we can bring it in, we can bring it out. Better yet, reduce!

Happy SoS everybody!

Sometimes one needs to look the other side to enjoy sunset. It ain't always the sun hiding behind the rim or horizon that give you a wonderful scenery.

It was an alienating situation: just around the bend in a narrow street, we drove past this field, falling into this scenery. Stopping and digging up the camera and... the sun hided behind the clouds. Scanning the cloud cover, the direction of the wind in search for that one hole the sun beams could get through. Hoping it would pass quickly to see this again before the natural spot light lost its power behind the mountains in the west.

Sauna, lake and swimming! What else does one needs?

I have been taking a few "candid" images of people recently and trying to overcome my natural discomfort - still learning (at least now I know what my next lens purchase needs to be).

Someone must have been proud of this little house once. It has a fancy fence and a vinyl front door. There was an add-on, but it didn't look as interesting as the original house, so a strategic bush blocked it in this photo. Some yard work, shingles, and lots of paint and it would be good to go.

The artist called this "Couple in the air" ... but if I have to name this, I would call it "Hope!". Everyone needs an airy bubble to keep us afloat.

I have wanted to stop and get a photo of a couple of walls in a business park that I noticed a long time ago, I finally took the detour.

This Cormorant reveals how much room there is down its gullett for a nice large fish ! On this occasion just a long yawn !! Seen at Lake Balboa, Van Nuys, November 2019
