Macro Mondays theme: Needle and Thread

OK, I know it's only one needle, but I couldn't think what else to call it. :)
For this week's Macro Mondays group theme, Needle and Thread. For scale, the vintage glass button is less than ½" wide.
This is my very quick contribution to this weeks Macro Mondays theme of Needle and Thread.. Always keep a selection handy but which one to use.....HMM

This is one of two needles used for the saddle stitch in the sheath below.

These thimbles belonged to my Grandmother; the one on the right is very battered and worn with several holes. Judging by the damage it looks like punctured fingers from sewing were a routine hazard even with a thimble!...Ouch!!!

The weekly theme is blue
# 61 in my 100 x challenge - using my nifty fifty.
I will have no internet access again this weekend so Flickr will be taking a back seat again. I'll catch up when I can.

For BDCC monthly challenge - At home -still life - Contemplate a familiar object and give it your own spin. Work with controlled light to demonstrate shape and form.
I haven't done much high key lately. For this I used a tripod to enable me to keep the ISO low and not worry about the shutter speed. I used natural light with a window to the right and reflector to the left.
For Looking Close on Friday - Blue on Black Background
Blue threads on a blue scarf. The embroidery silk belonged to my mother-in-law.
I am spending less time on Flickr these days so apologies if I don't get around to commenting on all of your images or if I just leave a word or two or maybe just hit the star (I really don't like to do that without leaving a comment but sometimes needs must)

This is my entry to Macro Monday for March 16, 2020. I have been away for a while but will hopefully start contributing more often in the future. Old wooden spool with a classic button shot over a paper background. Light from the right with white card on the left. Processed in Lightroom and Topaz studio. I hope you like it.
