Après avoir retrouvé dans mes tiroirs des aiguilles d'une vieille machine à coudre bien conservées par le temps, je me suis amusé à donner du Fil rouge doublé à retordre à 10 de ces Aiguilles. #Macro #MacroMondays #NeedleAndThread
“I have come to accept the feeling of not knowing where I am going. And I have trained myself to love it. Because it is only when we are suspended in mid-air with no landing in sight, that we force our wings to unravel and alas begin our flight. And as we fly, we still may not know where we are going to. But the miracle is in the unfolding of the wings. You may not know where you're going, but you know that so long as you spread your wings, the winds will carry you.”

Macro Monday - Needle and thread
Hope that's got you all singing! HMM
My feed is looking a bit pink but what can I say, I like pink :)
Happy Monday and stay safe and well folks!
Used thimbles
[Does somebody know why the shape from a man's and a woman's thimble are different? The type for men does not have a top but has a hole, while the type for women has a top (or hat). My Dad passed away. He was a tailor and used this all the time and I never asked him why they are different... and I did not come across any explanation...
Thanks.]
The current state of the world feels like a blur between the imaginary and reality. I tried to play upon that idea to meet the theme of "needle and thread" for Macro Monday. I hope you are all hanging in there!
Italian flag colours for this MM theme, to thank all people who are working in this critical period.

To be honest, I had no idea how to deal with that theme. There was one obvious thing, what I shure will be made many times. So I decided for a little play with water, colour and light.
Bobbins and a needle. I took this picture at different apertures up to and including F8 but this appealed the most, F2.8 and first picture taken.
Contribution to MM challenge 6/3/20, theme needles and pins
Thought this might be easy having done pretty much the same thing before for the eyes theme way back when. However the realisation that all the sewing kit is still in London...
This became a technical exercise in capturing something as a 1:1 image that can actually be seen so in come the extension tubes! Basically I couldn't see the hole in the needle even with glasses on!
One note on the image - it isn't actually monochrome!!
For the Macro Monday challenge "Needle and Thread" (March 16th 2020)
My mum's old sewing machine! I can't claim to be an expert with it - but it's fun to try to get up close with a macro lens!
HMM to everyone, and I hope the week goes well for you ;o)
