Well, I promised something that wasn't a button for my next upload and this is definitely not a button. We've had snow on the ground here for the last week, but this morning it's raining and our pretty snow is rapidly turning to mush. On such a grey day, I felt I needed a bit of colour, so I've gone back a few months to a much sunnier time at Sussex Prairie Garden. I do miss flowers on dark days like this, but Spring will be here before we know it and it will all start again.

Since I need some winter images for a proper photo calendar i looked for something worth capturing during those days when we had at least a little bit of snow.
Actually the amount of snow we had wasn’t even enough to cover the grass on this hill, so I cloned out hundreds of grass blades, which was great fun.

Hey guys, I need your input on this. Should I try and get back into the hobby? And if I do, should I continue mainly being a customizer rather than a builder or should I try to build more to get better with mocs, scenes, and so forth. I really want to get back I to the hobby of Lego, but just don't know what to focus on.

A BNSF Railway grain train is seen from high above Tunnel Lake as it heads west near Underwood, Washington on the Columbia River Gorge. Leave the drone in the car, because this view can be captured with just a little sweat and bushwhacking.
I needed to warm up for the night shot. To get into the comfort zone for me a natural start was to go for Black & White pictures. This trip's theme was long exposures with water. The hydro-station at Boen would be a good starting point. You can really feel the change in air pressure as you climb along the massive waterfall. You're really met with a huge roaring volume of water.

Mais si je veux publier au moins 1 photo de toutes mes autres randos, ce n'est pas possible avec mon rythme de publication actuel trop faible. France. Vosges. Alsace. Haut-Rhin. Vallée de Munster. Photo prise lors d'une rando en aller-retour effectuée avec ma femme, au départ de la Station du Gaschney, jusqu'au sommet du Hohneck (1363m).
La photo a été prise un peu en contrebas du sommet du Hohneck, du côté du Col du Wormspel.
On y voit la partie supérieure de la magnifique Arête des Spitzkoepfe, bien recouverte de neige et entourée d'un peu de brouillard, en contre-jour. Nous avons eu la chance de pouvoir contempler ce spectacle pendant quasiment une demi-heure avant que le brouillard ne se dissipe complètement. 😎🙏
Déjà en temps normal, cette arête me fascine à chaque fois. Mais là, avec son manteau neigeux, elle était encore plus belle. Et puis l'ingrédient magique qui l'a magnifiée pendant 30 minutes, c'est ce brouillard providentiel, sublimé par le contre-jour, qui jouait à cache-cache avec ses parois.
Ce moment fera à jamais partie de mes meilleurs souvenirs. Tout comme la randonnée dans son ensemble. Car nous avons eu de nombreux autres cadeaux à admirer du début à la fin de la rando, comme le cheminement au milieu d'arbres entièrement recouverts de neige (les feuillus aussi bien que les résineux) ou la vue sur les Alpes Suisses qui était particulièrement belle en ce jour.
Je pense qu'il s'agit de ma plus belle randonnée hivernale à ce jour (mais je n'ai pas non plus des tonnes de randonnées hivernales à mon actif). Et c'est d'autant plus beau d'avoir pu la partager avec ma femme.
A shot i forgot about completely from earlier this month of the Pan Am OCS tied down on the Newington Industrial Track Causeway. As top brass enjoy dinner on the water, a large ship is seen being escorted down the river while plenty of automobiles pass on the high level bridge in the background. Multiple modes of transportation in one setting i thought made for an excellent sight
