Faux abalone, torn paper technique; 'sargophagus' beads in pearl amber shade; faux turq heshi, black glass spacers
When these beads met pearls, they just didn't give me a minute to think - they just jumped in to the necklace together.
And I even can't go to sleep without showing it.

And for FGR - Get outside
I promised Kaylee some ice cream but Lala's was closed today so a candy necklace had to do. It's the only way I got her to actually sit down on the bench.
Polymer clay necklace of faux stone and faux rock beads, etched with caveman type drawings. This Piece was created for the August 2013 PCAGOE challenge. When I set to work on this challenge, I had in mind an all together different concept, I was planning to create a mother earth figurine. While mixing the clay for the figurine, I saw a beautiful crackled blend of colors emerge which begged to be turned into something. Instead of setting that aside to move onto the "planned idea", I let the clay guide me to create this piece. Those are my favorite types of creative sessions... so rewarding! The latest necklace inspired by the seashore
A cluster of freshwater pearls and sterling silver beads resembling barnacles, with a beautiful Blue Chalcedony faceted gemstone at its heart
This is the expanded version of my previous post with the Czech glass bead strand added. You can wear the two together or separately. I put this together with beads from the past few years and because I use the same palette, they all coordinate.

My mother loved to travel. Dad would not leave the farm so she always traveled alone, She went to China, Australia and Egypt by herself. She took a riverboat down the Nile and when it docked in Cairo she followed a local down an alley in the slums to call us. She had no fear and loved to see the world. I admired that about her.
This is a necklace she got in Egypt with one of the quotes she used to get through life written in hieroglyphics on it . I tried to translate it years ago and I think it says "Live, Love , Laugh". If anyone is an expert in Egyptian hieroglyphics and can translate it I would appreciate you letting me know.
Necklace, copy.

Gorgeous paper and glass bead, 3 strand necklace. Paper beads are hand rolled out of scrapbook paper and lacquer coated for durability(water resistant, not waterproof). Various shades of turquoise greens and blues with hints of copper and brown. Necklace is 18" with a lobster claw clasp.
This Asian inspired polymer clay circular convex disc is simply lovely with an abstract design. The focal bead hangs from copper wire accented by black and red textured clay beads. The pendant hangs from a simple black steel cable fastened with a simple magnetic clasp.
