Field visit to Femi (Lake Province) on October 3, 2024: Funded by GAC, the "Gender Transformative Climate Adaptation" is implemented by LWF in the Lake Chad Basin, covering regions in both Cameroon and Chad. LWF's technical partner, CLWR, visits Femi with several staff members from LWF Chad. Femi is one of the villages targeted by the GAC project. LWF plans to plant 2,300 forest trees there to combat the encroaching sand that threatens both the village and the polders where Femi's farmers cultivate. Several houses have already been buried under the sand.
