Whether you believe in science or in a divine creator, plants have proved themselves invaluable and often indispensable for food, healing, preventing illness, and saving the lives of mankind and animal kind alike throughout the world and in many periods of history. Even now, many of the products and medicines we take for granted are based upon or come from plants. I use plants in helping to keep myself and my children healthy and frss of sickness, as well as for food every day. One person we can thank for introducing the idea of plants as being useful for medicine into the mainstream of western medicine...and in fact naming the plants themselves is the great scholar and botanist/herbalist John Ray born in the little village of Black Notley to humble parents. is father was a blacksmith and his mother was a homemaker and herbalist before there WERE herbalists. She was a folk healer practicing an old way of medicine that was rooted in ancient wisdom.

I was introduced to a wonderful liquid - coconut water. I was unaware of it's benefit to electrolyte infusion and potassium. I'll probably be doing backflips by the end of the day...and then again, maybe not. I've worked up a sweat and am drained from just having posted these photos. Back to bed for me now.
