Bougainvillea spectabilis (Family: Nyctaginaceae), commonly referred to as Great Bougainvillea or Paper Flower, is one of the traditional medicinal plants with potential antifertility activity. The aqueous extract and decoction of this plant have been used as fertility control among the tribal people in many countries.

Life Emerging from Stone
Houseleek (Sempervivum tectorum) — a plant of resilience and grace. Thriving in stony cracks, nourished only by dew and a pinch of soil.
Used for centuries in folk medicine for burns, insect bites, earaches, and skin irritations — thanks to its anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties.
Captured along my way, a quiet reminder that life always finds a way — even in the hardest places.

The Morne Seychellois National Park is situated on the island of Mahe, the largest island of the Seychelles archipelago.
Morne Seychellois covers an area of approximately 3,045 hectares, more than 20% of Mahe and is made up of a mixture of mangroves, lush tropical jungles and tall mountains. It is 10km in length and between 2km and 4km wide, equipped with an extensive trail network, covering more than 15km.
The role of the National Park, is to protect the already fragile ecosystem by minimizing the effect of human disturbances.
Morne Seychellois is home to a vast amount of indigenous flora and fauna, and of the twelve endemic land birds of the granitics, seven are to be found here. These include the Seychelles Scops-owl, one of the most elusive species of all. Its stronghold is in the Morne Seychellois National Park and it can often be heard around dusk at various locations along the Sans Souci road.
The Seychelles Kestrel, Blue Pigeon and Sunbird are common sights in the Park, which makes it perfect for bird lovers. You will always be able to spot the endemic Bulbul, the Pitcher Plant and have interesting encounters with the Seychelles Wolf Snake. (www.spga.gov.sc/parks/morne-seychellois)
In the foreground is Spotted Lake, rich in calcium, sodium sulphates, magnesium sulphate and other minerals and considered a sacred site with healing properties to the First Nations People of this region. In contrast lies Osoyoos Lake, further south, in the background. Osoyoos Lake straddles the 49th parallel, the Canada and USA boundary, as well as the two cities hugging its shoreline, Osoyoos, BC, and Oroville, Washington. Osoyoos Lake, Canada’s warmest lake is a hot summer magnet for tourists. Spotted Lake on the other hand is out-of-bounds for visitors but clearly viewable from a Highway 3 pullout. Although this spring photo does not depict its many natural colours, in the summer months the circular rings of Spotted Lake turn various colours as the intense summer heat evaporates the water in the lake. This southern region of British Columbia is Canada’s only desert. The blackened mountainside in the top right hand side of the image is the result of a controlled forest fire burn during the summer of 2024.
A wonderful visit to Kew Gardens. This gold flower is one of the varieties of the Asteraceae family which includes Echinacia and Rudbeckia and were all planted together there in a mixed border.
Welcome yarrow, welcome echinacea. Welcome take-over-the-world oregano, dill and thyme. Welcome all healers to the pot.

I did the best I could while still having a normal full time job. It was just myself & my wife doing all the gerson therapy things. For example juices, washing dishes, coffee for cleanses, shopping, etc. So VERY busy.
I know I'm not following the exact schedule. I stored the carrot & carrot / apple in 8 oz mason jars to take to work. But I drank all my green juice right after it's made with about 15 - 30 minutes in between each one most of the time.

Once I found out I had a tumor (no idea if it was cancerous or not without surgery), I did the protocol for the nonmalignant patient. Which is 10 juices a day & 3 coffee enemas a day. Only eating foods allowed on the Gerson Therapy. Avoiding all toxins, etc. I took all the supplements I could get in the USA. Only thing I could not get was liver & B12 injection and the thyroid. The liver pills I took had some B12 in them so I just took a extra one of those every 2nd day.
About 2 1/2 months into the therapy I had the benign tumor located behind my right removed surgically. Just because it was large and getting close to my optic nerve. Which if touched would make me blind in that eye. The tumor was removed cleanly and intact. But I continued the therapy just in case.
The surgeon does these types of tumor removals from behind the eye a lot. He was very certain the tumor was going to be very sponge like and he would just reach in and squeeze it and remove it. But it was as hard as a rock! He had to remove a small piece of bone above my eye just to remove it.
I recall reading in the gerson book that tumors grow larger before they body kills/removes it. So I truly think my body was starting to get rid of it. But it was dangerously close to my optic nerve. If it would have crushed it, I would have been blind in my right eye.
Another thing that the surgeon said, is that I would have short term (2 - 3 months) double vision or long term (4 - 8 months or longer) double vision. If it didn't correct itself. Another surgery to correct that.
:D But the day after the surgery NO DOUBLE VISION at all! Still have no double vision. I really credit the Gerson Therapy for that.
My vision improved in both eyes just 9 months into the therapy. I was able to read about 4-5 lines lower than when I started. I can verify this because I had a full vision test about 2 weeks before I started the therapy and then 9 month after that.

This plant is absolutely huge as of 22 April 2015; it is now growing in a five-gallon Igloo water cooler Which weighs, including the soil, over fifty pounds.
