Alexander’s Prison is actually the former Ziaeie School which was built by Zia Addin Hossein Razi 8 centuries ago in 631 (Islamic Calendar). There used to be teachers and students sitting in classrooms around 700 years ago.
It is widely believed that Alexander’s expatriates in Yazd used to be kept here. It rationally makes sense as Yazd was by then a faraway city and quite deserted in comparison to big cities. On the other hand, some others think that the school was transformed into prison when Alexander attacked Iran. They say it was a place for keeping the governmental characters of the time.

Most of the people in Pondicherry happily moving around on bicycles everyday and avoiding motor transportation as much as possible.
There's a wetland near SGPGI, Lucknow where I along with my friends used to do birding. We used to find many birds species but due to recent development work and building up of housing colonies, the birding is getting over. I was just looking at the ground where lot of Jacanas, Drongos, Rollers, Egrets, Herons, Sandpipers, Whistling teals & Sarus Cranes used to feed and breed but today there was a bulldozer excavating for foundations. The main threat to the very much endangered Sarus crane which is incidentally the state bird of Uttar Pradesh is habitat loss due to conversion of wetland for agriculture & housing purpose.

Rudkhan Castle is a brick and stone medieval castle in Iran Located 25 km southwest of Fuman city north of Iran in Gilan province, it is a military complex which had been constructed during the Sasanian era (224-651), and later rebuilt during the Seljuq era by the Nizari Ismailis. The castle is built on two tips of a mount, with an area of 2. 6 hectares (6. 4 acres). Its architects have benefited from natural mountainous features in the construction of the fort. The Rudkhan Castle River originates in the surrounding heights and flows from south to north.
