Day 175 of 365.

We all have the opportunity to write our own story.

Was really happy to work on the little details in this shot. I would've uploaded last night, but it was incredibly late. So expect another! Hope you all have been well.

There's a potential story here but you decide, bearing in mind the girl had red hair?

Piebald Narrative

Borobudur Indonesia

The monument is both a shrine to the Lord Buddha and a place for Buddhist pilgrimage. The journey for pilgrims begins at the base of the monument and follows a path around the monument and ascends to the top through three levels symbolic of Buddhist cosmology: Kāmadhātu (the world of desire), Rupadhatu (the world of forms) and Arupadhatu (the world of formlessness). The design of Borobudur took the form of a step pyramid.

The monument guides pilgrims through an extensive system of stairways and corridors with 1,460 narrative relief panels on the walls and the balustrades.

Copenhagen, Denmark - July 13, 2022.

At the Design Museum Denmark.

Sorry about the delay in the narrative i was on the phone to the insurance company.

So this is me yesterday doing for a swim yeah its a bit boring watching a head bobbing around in the water but i did go for a swim in full view of other people and as far as i could tell no one clocked me as anything other than a mad woman swimming.

I had a whole family on my stretch and an older couple with a dog on the other bit and plenty of people milling around us.

So if you are half passable like me and you fancy a paddle just go for it just make sure any bulges are hidden

I guess for now you've got the last laugh.

The story:

A young man works as a cashier in a cinema.

A girl comes in one day a week at 12:00.

He always serves her, and starts falling in love with her.

I made the popcorn box myself :D

Tonopah Army Airfield, just outside Tonopah, Nevada was built as a pilot training facility for the B-24 Liberator bomber. At one time, there were 6,000 personnel stationed there. Over seven hundred fifty combat crews were trained there.

Once the nations largest bomber and pilot training base, it was placed on inactive status in August of 1945.

New Year's festivities are closely linked with rural life in Bengal. Usually on Poila Boishakh, the home is thoroughly scrubbed and cleaned; people bathe early in the morning and dress in fine clothes. They spend much of the day visiting relatives, friends, and neighbours. Special foods are prepared to entertain guests. This is one rural festival that has become enormously big in the cities, especially in Dhaka.

Boishakhi fairs are arranged in many parts of the country. Various agricultural products, traditional handicrafts, toys, cosmetics, as well as various kinds of food and sweets are sold at these fairs. The fairs also provide entertainment, with singers and dancers staging jatra (traditional plays), pala gan, kobigan, jarigan, gambhira gan, gazir gan and alkap gan. They present folk songs as well as baul, marfati, murshidi and bhatiali songs. Narrative plays like Laily-Majnu, Yusuf-Zulekha and Radha-Krishna are staged. Among other attractions of these fairs are puppet shows and merry-go-rounds.

Many old festivals connected with New Year's Day have disappeared, while new festivals have been added. With the abolition of the zamindari system, the punya connected with the closing of land revenue accounts has disappeared. Kite flying in Dhaka and bull racing in Munshiganj used to be very colourful events. Other popular village games and sports were horse races, bullfights, cockfights, flying pigeons, and boat racing. Some festivals, however, continue to be observed; for example, bali (wrestling) in Chittagong and gambhira in Rajshahi are still popular events.

Exhibit from the ‘Vicious Circle’ exhibition, taken on the 24th of January 2025. It shows the back of a Chanukkiah from Baghdad (about 1900) and in the background a compilation of photographs from Kibbutz Be’eri going up in flames.

This exhibition was organised by The National Holocaust Museum, and, to the eternal shame of London, had to be held in a somewhat dilapidated basement behind locked doors in an anonymous building in Dean Street. It was the only venue that was willing to host the exhibition during the period of Holocaust Memorial Day because all other venues that had been approached were afraid of the reaction/repercussions/ wrath of London’s Pro-Palestinian populace. The exhibition is scheduled to travel to Berlin, where it will be displayed at three prominent venues, then onto Brussels, the UN in New York and other cities.
