Bhamian Kalan, Punjab - Oct 30, 2013.

The Congress is once again playing dirty communal politics In the name of raising issue of Sikh farmers in Gujarat said Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal the National Secretary of Bharatiya Janata Party Kisan Morcha. Talking with media persons after a meeting with Gujarat Chief Minister and PM in waitng Sh. Narendra Modi here today, Grewal said that Congress was once again hatching conspiracy to fan communal feelings in the name of raising issue of Sikh farmers of Punjab and Haryana in Gujarat by hiding the real facts and figures behind it. Grewal said that Since it was the Congress chief minister Ghanshayam Bhai Ojha in Gujarat, who introduced the clause in 1973 that has rendered Sikh farmers non-agriculturist in Gujarat, the Punjab Congress party definitely owes an explanatory statement to the nation people of Punjab and Haryana in particular. He added that the issue was not only of the farmers of Haryana and Punjab in Gujarat, albeit of all farmers who are not from Gujarat state. Laying bare the facts and figures Grewal said that in 1973 the government under chief minister Ghanshayam Bhai Ojha, issued a circular stating that if a farmer from outside the state Gujarat, for example a farmer from Punjab or any other state, buys a land in Gujarat he is declared a non agriculturist. The circular applies to any out of the state agriculturist and not only on Sikhs or minorities. Around 784 cases of violation were found by the Kutch district administration in which 164 cases were related from Punjab and Haryana state, 108 cases belonged to the individuals Gujarati and 512 cases belonged to farmers from states other than of Gujarat, Punjab and Haryana. Grewal said that Instead of taking up cases of all the affected farmers, Congress is raising the issue the Sikh farmers of Punjab and Haryana only. Sadly enough, the Punjab Congress is ill equipped in the terms of information and does not have enough ammunition left to keep itself thriving. Jumping on the controversy bandwagon, Punjab Congress has started this malicious campaign without doing its homework. Grewal stated that Gujarat CM Narendra Modi was committed to safeguard the cause of all farmers and has already assured the Punjab CM Prakash Singh Badal and State President BJP Punjab Kamal Sharma that a lawful solution was being found for the problem. He said that Sh. Narendra Modi has assured that no farmer will face any difficulty. According to 2001 census survey 45,875 Sikhs are living peacefully and harmoniously in Gujarat.

#Narendra #Modi today left on an eight-day visit to five Central Asian countries as also Russia and attending Summits of BRICS and Shanghai Cooperation Organisation.

Punjab BJP Leader Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal said that the black list of Sikhs should be reviewed sympathetically and with an open mind to apply balm to the festering wounds. Talking with the media persons here today he said that our party is ready to engage with the contentious issues in place of pushing these under the carpet. Grewal said that he will be taking up the issue of Sikh brothers very sympathetic and open minded review of Black List of Sikhs with its central leadership and will pursue the issue further in its attempt to engage with the contentious issues of Punjab and Sikhs. He said that if we address these issues the peace can be long lasting in Punjab, though the atmosphere of the state is stable right now but it starts getting vitiated on small issues with such old and contentious issues remaining unaddressed. Grewal said that we wish to improve the peace and communal harmony a permanent feature of the state while handling these issues in place of running away. He said that It's very clear and well known that it may be mentioned here that it is for the first time that BJP is adapting such pro-active approach on the issue. He told that in the year 2004 during NDA regime Rashtriya Sikh Sangat Leader Sr. Rulda Singh Patiala had been lobbying for it and opened channels with NRI Sikhs also but he was later assassinated. Grewal also stated that our Hon'ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi met a delegation of Sikhs during his US visit and feedback from there was also quite encouraging. He said that our Punjab is a border state and strategically very important for the country and for our party national interests are paramount. While talking towards the other issues, Grewal said that as most of the issues of Punjab were taken up in "Rajiv - Longowal Accord" these should be solved in its light. He reiterated that Chandigarh should be shifted to Punjab as per this accord and other issues should also be solved according those issues. At this time BJP Leader's Rohit Sonakar, Raman Bhalla, Rohit Shelly, Kewal Singh were also present.

Ludhiana , 30 April 2014-

All India Secretary BJP Kisan Morcha and Prabhari Himachal Pradesh Advocate, Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal said in a democracy the people were kings and it was they who would pass judgement on the scam ridden Congress led UPA government at the centre and repose faith in the leadership of a NDA government with Shri Narendra Modi at its head. After casting his vote on the eve of polling at his village Bhukhari Kalan Ludhiana In a press statement here today, Grewal said he could sense a clear wave in favour of chief minister Parkash Singh Badal and NDA prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi in Punjab and was confident that the SAD-BJP would sweep the parliamentary elections in the State by winning all 13 seats at stake. He said that there is palpable anger amongest the people against the UPA government which has caused inflation and unemployment and has discriminated against Punjab for ten years now. Grewal said he had also got a feeling during the campaign that the people were in favour of having the same government at the centre and the State to ensure speedy development. He said such a chance has now come after ten years and I am confident that the people will not let it go. On SAD-BJP alliance Government in Punjab Grewal said it had delivered despite constraints and discrimination in allocation of funds by the centre. He said that we have fulfilled the commitments made to the people be it making the State power surplus, introducing novel welfare schemes including the 'aata -daal' scheme, making government- citizen interface easier through governance reforms and introduction of 'sannjh' and 'suvidha' centres and even attracting investment by introducing unique incentives. Grewal said that the Government was committed to delivering on major fronts once a NDA government was formed at the centre. "Badal Sahab has a unique relationship with Mr Narendra Modi and has already discussed a number of issues with the NDA prime ministerial candidate". He said this included constructing houses for the houseless in both rural and urban areas, offering a remunerative minimum support price, MSP to the farmers and ensuring them full crop insurance besides working for an industrial package for the State. Grewal said that we hope to deliver on all these issues once Shri Narendra Modi is sworn in as the next prime minister of our country. Grewal said the people should evaluate what the party could offer to the State and its people. He said that everyone knows that all the senior leaders including Capt Amarinder Singh, Partap Singh Bajwa and Sunil Jakhar were reluctant candidates and were forced into the contest by the high command. He said even today till the very last minute they are working against each other and have no hope of winning from their seats. Grewal said it was for the people to decide why the Congress had not told the people of Punjab what the UPA government did for the State during the last ten years. He said that six Punjab Congress leaders even served as Union ministers during this period, even they failed to bring any major project to Punjab. He said the Punjab Congress party has even failed to come out with its future vision for the State. He said that all the party has done since the last nearly two months is run a negative propaganda against the SAD-BJP combine. We however have stuck to the positives and put our achievements before the peoples of Punjab.

Alleging blatant foul play on part of polling officers, Ms Bhat said she has surveyed all polling stations all morning this day. At Nati Pora a polling officer ordered that the voting be stopped after an argument with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers, she said. The matter was resolved only after the local magistrate stepped in at her request. Hina Bhat BJP candidate in the Kashmir Valley Srinagar's Amira Kadal constituency denies Slapping Poll Official.

Ludhiana ( Bhukhari Kalan ) , 27 January 2014 -

PSIEC , Punjab Small Industry and Export Corporation Former Vice Chairman, Advocate Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal said that our SAD-BJP Government has made several efforts to boost the industrial sector in Punjab state. Grewal said that due to these efforts of SAD-BJP Government as result several business houses are keen to invest in our Punjab. He said that now we have to check Punjab State Power Corporation Limited ( PSPCL ) which is providing poor services to the Consumers in Punjab. In a meeting with Kisan Morcha Workers here today, Grewal lashed out at Punjab State Power Corporation Limited for poor consumer services and absolute non-adherence of Standards of Performance mandated by Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission ( PSERC ) appointed by Government of Punjab. Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission ( PSERC ) has specified critical distribution parameters to provide efficient, reliable and safe system of Electricity through its regulations provided in its Supply Code. These Minimum Standards of Performance provides strict timelines to resolve various Consumer grievances viz. Normal Fuse Off, Overhead Line Breakdowns, Underground Cable Breakdowns, Distribution Transformer Failure, Power Transformer Failure, Street Light Faults, Period of Scheduled Outage, Voltage Fluctuations, Meter Complaints, Release of New Connection, Transfer of Title or Conversion of Services, Shifting of Meter/Service Connection and other Services, Complaints about Consumer’s Bills and restoration of Supply.

Grewal stated that Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission ( PSERC ) mandates a compensation to the Consumer in case of non-fulfillment of these Minimum Standards of Performance. Compensation varies from Rs 50/- to Rs 5000/- for each default for each Consumer. It is well known that Punjab State Power Corporation Limited neither fulfils these Minimum Standard of performance ( MSOP ) nor compensates any Consumer towards any such lapse whereas Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission ( PSERC ) mandates payment of such compensation by the way of adjustment in Electricity Bills. For instance, Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission ( PSERC ) mandates a normal fuse off complaint shall be addressed within 4 hours in cities, towns and urban areas and in case Punjab State Power Corporation Limited ( PSPCL ) fails to resolve the complaint within 4 hours, it shall remit Rs 50/- as compensation by the way of adjustment in the next bill of the Consumer.

Grewal added that Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission ( PSERC ) mandates registration of each and every complaint filed by the Consumer verbally, telephonically or in writing as per a duly approved Consumer Complaint Handling Procedure whereas there is hardly any such effective system in place to register and address consumer complaints. “According to the Annual Revenue Requirement ( ARR ) filed by the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited ( PSPCL ) with the Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission ( PSERC ), it received only 2462 complaints in a year from over 65 Lac Consumers across Punjab whereas on an average more than 10000 complaints are received daily by the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited which clearly means Punjab State Power Corporation Limited ( PSPCL ) had fudged Annual Revenue Requirement ( ARR ) figures to avoid compensation and save itself from the wrath of Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission ( PSERC ) ”, added Grewal.

Grewal stated that he will write to Shri Shanta Kumar MP ( Rajya Sabha ) Prabhari Punjab Pradesh, Shri Balramji Dass Tandon Sr. BJP Leader Punjab BJP, Sr Sukhbir Singh Badal President Shiromani Akali Dal ( SAD ), Deputy Chief Minister and Power Minister Punjab, Shri Kamal Sharma Punjab State President Bharatiya Janata Party ( BJP ), Shri Tikshan Sud Political Advisor to CM Punjab and also to Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission ( PSERC ) to pass strict instructions to Punjab State Power Corporation Limited ( PSPCL ) to ensure registration of each and every complaint and its quick resolution, adhere to the Minimum Standard of performance ( MSOP ) as mandated by Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission ( PSERC ) and compensate each and every Consumer in case of any failure on its part, which is very shameful.

Diamond merchants from bombay felicitated him, since they are the biggest beneficiaries of his reign in gujarat. He should be executed in public is what i think. And these rich gujus are an impatient, rude, disgusting bunch, they kept yelling at fotogs who would come in their way. We had no press pit, no stand from where we could shoot. Anyways, the hero of the day came in late as usual, and they were showing footage of what all these stupid saints think of Modi as a leader. This was probably my worst assignment.

Talking with the media persons after BJP membership camp Aggar Nagar mandal, Ludhiana today, Grewal said that the campaign would be launched from Amritsar under the aegis of the BJP party's youth wing, Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM). He said that youth leader Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) and MP Anurag Thakur and Punjab BJP chief Kamal Sharma would be supervising the campaign against drugs. Grewal. said that our party BJP workers would move from village to village in the Punjab state to create awareness about drug menace and educate people on the colossal harm that the drugs are doing to the state. During press conference the BJP leader lashed out at the opposition Congress for shedding only crocodile tears over the drug issue. Grewal said that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) a coalition partner in the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) Sardar Parkash Singh Badal led Punjab state Government, certainly wants the ouster of Revenue Minister Bikram Sigh Majithia, as he had been summoned by Enforcement Directorate in the Rs 6,000 crore drug racket case of Punjab. Grewal said that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was of the view that Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) should not have announced to hold any demonstration against the Border Security Force (BSF). He said that this would have amounted to an attempt to demoralise the forces deployed on the border, the Border Security Force (BSF). It's well known to each and everybody that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ally Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) had on Sunday announced that it will organise "Dharnas"on the international border on January 5, 2015 to "pressurise" the Border Security Force (BSF) to stop entry of drugs from Pakistan. A day later the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) said it will hold three Dharnas near the IB check points to create awareness about drugs as well as focus on the need for greater vigilance along the with the India and Pakistan border
