Days after Narendra Modi suggested that BJP might tilt in favour of FDI in retail, All India Secretary BJP Kisan Morcha Advocate, Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal said a rethink on the issue was unlikely. BJP has steadfastly opposed FDI in retail. In a press statement here today Grewal said that as far as FDI in retail is concerned, the BJP has genuine concerns against this and I don't think, it is quite likely, that policy is going to be changed. He, however, did not dismiss the idea completely. As far as present is concerned, I think it is quite unlikely that the BJP will change, he said, noting that no policy was a policy for the next 100 years. Addressing a traders' conference in Delhi on Thursday, Modi had asked the trading community not to run away from global challenges but adapt itself to modern practices like tying up with bigger stores and online trading, without referring to FDI in retail. Grewal admitted that the BJP was consciously trying to woo the Muslim community ahead of elections and said the party will go full length to implement its three underlined convictions of security, equality and economic progress towards them. There is nothing wrong in it. It's a good sign for India. It's a good sign for BJP. It's a good sign for the minority community members. We and everybody has evolved, It's an appeal being made, he said and admitting that the BJP was making an effort to reach out to the community. Grewal said as far as Muslims were concerned, BJP was not a party that would go on the track of vote bank politics and have religion-based reservation for Muslims. On Pakistan, he said talks and terror could not co-exist and BJP's desire to talk would not outweigh the other surrounding circumstances. Grewal said that the attitude of BJP towards Pakistan if they came to power would be the same as it was during the NDA regime under Atal Bihari Vajpayee. This whole passion and desire that you continue to have dialogue at the highest level irrespective of what the response of Pakistan is. If you have Pakistan's attitude which is not responsive, it is not necessary that the heads of government meet, he said. On the recent Navy accident, he attacked defence minister A K Antony for stopping procurements and turning the situation in the forces to a crisis level and promised to reverse it if BJP came to power in the country.

National BJP Leader and Kisan morcha National Secretary Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal today hit back at Congress for its criticism of governance in Gujarat and said the ruling party should instead tell people what it has achieved in its 10 years in power at the Centre as elections are for Lok Sabha not Gujarat assembly. Talking with media persons in village sports tournament here today Grewal said people in Gujarat gave their answer to Congress' allegations in 2012 Assembly polls, handing over a comprehensive defeat and re-electing Narendra Modi. Grewal said, attacking Congress party that "Gujarat elections are over and Congress has been routed there again and again. It has to now give answers to the people across the country. What are your achievements--scams, corruption, inflation, unemployment, economic crisis." He said that Congress has been trying to pick holes in Modi's claims about Gujarat model of development, saying numbers of families living below poverty line had increased in the state during his tenure. Grewal also targeted developmental claims by Congress yesterday, party's senior leader and General Secretary Digvijay Singh had tweeted Planning Commission figures about BPL families in the state.
New Delhi ( Sarojani Park ) , 1 December 2013 -
National BJP Leader Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal said that as national capital Delhi and its citizens fully deserved to be accorded a special treatment for developing it as a Dream City of the world. He said but the Congress party turned it into a Slum Center and defamed it as a Crime Capital of the world. Campaigning with Dr. Harshvardhan at Sarojani Park after a public meeting while talking with some media persons here today, Grewal said that we Indian wants to be proud of Delhi as our national capital and wants to see it as the most beautiful city in the world. He said but money that should have gone into turning Delhi into a Model Mega City actually went into the coffers of scamsters and land mafia, coal mafia, with Delhi citizens having to face the embarrassment of Commonwealth Games scam. Grewal said that now the people of Delhi were waiting to punish the Congress party for its biggest sin of bringing disgrace to the national Capital through its massive misrule and bringing it a bad name as the crime capital of the world. He said the people of Delhi are in no mood to forgive the Congress party. Grewal said the massive misrule and utter lack of political and official will has led to Delhi administration resembling a "JUNGAL RAJ". He said that the assembly poll would prove to be a semi-final before the eventual final match leading to a change in the Centre Level. He said the election and the Lok Sabha election will go down in history as "NARENDRA MODI ELECTIONS" in the Indian History. He said now Congress party is facing scourge of a heavy anti-incumbency on the one hand and an unprecedented MODI WAVE blowing through the length and the breadth of the country on the other. The forward looking people of the national capital want to be the first to usher in Narendra Modi era. Grewal said that the Indian youth is playing a leading role in the Modi wave which will sweep the Congress out of the scene. He said that I have never seen such enthusiasm in the youth as I am seeing in Delhi during this election. Grewal said that they all are really eager to rewrite the history of Delhi and the country and they have found a most forceful icon in Narendra Modi to fulfill their dreams of a strong and prosperous India. He said our capital is a place where people get the most expensive electricity, cooking gas, essential commodities like atta, pulses, vegetables such as tomato, onions, and other commodities like milk. It was heading for the biggest defeat in its history in the forthcoming assembly poll in Delhi. At this time Yograj Sharda, Vishal Sharma, Ajay Chaudhary and large number of BJP workers from Vidhan Sabha halka were present.
