Junagarh Fort is a fort in the city of Bikaner, Rajasthan, India. The fort was originally called Chintamani and was renamed Junagarh or "Old Fort" in the early 20th century when the ruling family moved to Lalgarh Palace outside the fort limits. It is one of the few major forts in Rajasthan which is not built on a hilltop. The modern city of Bikaner has developed around the fort.
The fort complex was built under the supervision of Karan Chand, the Prime Minister of Raja Rai Singh, the sixth ruler of Bikaner, who ruled from 1571 to 1611 AD. Construction of the walls and associated moat commenced in 1589 and was completed in 1594. It was built outside the original fort of the city, about 1.5 kilometres from the city centre. Some remnants of the old fort are preserved near the Lakshmi Narayan temple.
Historical records reveal that despite the repeated attacks by enemies to capture the fort, it was not taken, except for a lone one-day occupation by Kamran Mirza. Kamran was the second son of the Mughal Emperor Babur who attacked Bikaner in 1534, which was then ruled by Rao Jait Singh. In the battle, the Mughals were defeated by Rathors. Kamran then returned to Lahore.
The 5.28 hectares large fort precinct is studded with palaces, temples and pavilions.[These buildings depict a composite culture, manifest in the mix of architectural styles.

Like many of the temples we visited in Nepal (and unlike most Western churches) it felt it was an important part of the residents everyday routine rather than a something that's been preserved as a tourist attraction.

Narayan is a skillful Tuk Tuk driver on the narrow streets of Old Delhi (India) . The shot shows him maneuvering under the pressure of a traffic jam .
I was inside the Tuk , Tuk , in the middle of a noisy jam . Really got well impressed about how Narayan solved the situation , so steady and calmly ; meanwhile the shop behind him , gave me the opportunity to shot with this nice light .

Tradition associates the "Nara" element with "water" and Ayana "eternal, without ending, explaining the name as indicating the all-pervasive nature of Narayana as that of an infinite ocean in which the never-ending movement of birth, life and death of the cosmos occurs. Narayana according to this etymology is the one who moves in the infinite waters and is also the water itself. This close association of Narayana with water explains the frequent depiction of Narayana in Hindu Art as standing or sitting on an ocean.
Changu Narayan (Nepal)
Triyuginarayan - - this is the place where Lord Shiva got married with Parbati ; Hindus believe that the most Pure element upon earth is Fire ( which cleanses all impurities) so they were married by keeping Fire as witness . That fire is still burning, and the villagers are keeping that fire alive - generation after generation. You can see the smoke ......
This is the oldest temple in Kathmandu Valley (Nepal) built in 4th century A.D during the regime of Licchavi daynasty which is situated at Changunarayan village, 22 km from Kathmandu. Changu Narayan was rebuilt around 1700 after the temple was destroyed by fire.
It is listed as one of the world heritage sites by UNESCO.
