の3つの星を結んで描かれる、細長い大きな三角形をしたアステリズムである[1]。3星のうちベガとアルタイルは、七夕の伝説における「おりひめ(織姫)」と「ひこぼし(彦星)」である。

Dark dust clouds obscure the concentration of stars behind, while others burst into view along with star clusters and pinkish-red nebulae (especially at bottom-right).

Taken on the UK south coast using a Canon DSLR camera and stock lens using a NanoTracker on a tripod. Multiple images at 30s exposure stacked and processed.

Gas giants Jupiter and Saturn shine above the beach huts as the centre of our Milky Way Galaxy plunges into the sea.

The main stars form a large 'W' shape in the sky surrounded by misty smears of the Milky Way, jewel-like double stars and whisps of nebulosity.

 

Taken in the UK using a Canon EOS 1000D dslr camera on a tripod and NanoTracker motor-drive.

 

Just 10 frames stacked and aligned, each at ISO 800, exps 44s and stock zoom lens at 80mm.
