Born in Kent, the daughter of the Duke of Edinburgh, second son of Queen Victoria, Marie married Ferdinand of Hohenzollern to become Queen of Romania, as recalled in the verse:

Oh, life is a glorious cycle of song,

A medley of extemporanea;

And love is a thing that can never go wrong;

And I am Marie of Roumania.

The Queen was an assiduous and talented writer and apart from her memoirs published in London one should mention children stories illustrated by Dulac.

Lady Elizabeth Asquith, daughter of the 1st Earl of Oxford, British PM married Prince Antoine Bibescu, diplomat at the Romanian Legation in London and settled at the family seat of Mogosoaia near Bucharest.

She figures in an Anthology, (now available as an E-Book) entitled:

"Blouse Roumaine - the Unsung Voices of Romanian Women"

www(dot)blouseroumaine(dot)com/orderthebook_p1(dot)html

Elizabeth Asquith (1897 - 1948) was the daughter of Prime Minister Herbert Asquith. In 1919 she married Prince Antoine Bibesco a flamboyant Romanian diplomat in London and the wedding ceremony took place at the Greek Orthodox church of Sait Sophia in London and at St Margaret's Westminster.

On seeing the inevitable happen that his daughter Elizabeth would marry into a Romanian family, the British Prime Minister Herbert Asquith, 1st Earl of Oxford, (1852-1928) inquired cautiously of his future son-in-law:

“It seems that you have considerable estates in Romania?”

to which the young diplomat, Prince Antoine Bibesco (1878-1952) answered:

“It takes the Orient Express one day to go through me”.

www(dot)blouseroumaine(dot)com

Antoine was a friend of Marcel Proust whom he asked to be his daughter's Godfather: this was Priscilla Bibesco who died in Paris in 2004 in an apartment in l'Ile St Louis, overlooking Notre Dame. This was originally Antoine and Elizabeth's flat in Paris, where they moved after they married: it was decorated with immense canvasses by Vuillard.

Priscilla Bibesco. Elizabeth's daughter was a neighbour and cousin of Princess Marthe Bibesco, who kept a coveted literary salon.

Elizabeth Asquith Bibesco was known as a witty writer of short stories, essays novels plays and poetry. A collection of her papers are kept in the Bodleyan library, Oxford.

Elizabeth had a brief liaison with Katherine Mansfield's husband - John Middleton Murry (1889-1957) at which point Mansfield wrote Asquith a waspish letter:

“I am afraid you must stop writing these little love letters to my husband while he and I live together. It is one of those things which is not done in our world.

You are very young. Won’t you ask your husband to explain to you the impossibility of such a situation.

Please don’t you have to make me write to you again. I do not like scolding people and I simply hate to teach them manners.” (Frank and Anita Kermode op.cit. 496).

At that time Murry (1889-1957) was 33, a socialist and pacifist, an influential literary critic, an Editor of the Athaeneum and friend of notable literary figures such as T. S. Eliot, D. H. Lawrence, and Virginia Woolf. Katherine Mansfield was an established writer, gaining praise for her recently published volume, ironically entitled 'Bliss' (1920), whilst Elizabeth Asquith Bibesco was an aspiring writer. Miss Mansfield did not object to her socialist husband’s affair with an aristocrat, rather to the irritation of seeing these love letters whilst she and Murry still lived under the same roof.

HRH Princess Margarita de Romania is the daughter of HM King Mihai de Romania and of HM Queen Anne, princess of Bourbon-Parme

--------------------------------------------

www.blouseroumaine.com/orderthebook_p1.html

Let the Game Begin !!! Let's Get Ready To Rumble !!!

In my idea I use real money from ex Yugoslavia (Jugoslavenski dinar).

Paper bill with 5000 dinara is with ex Yugoslavian president Josip Broz Tito. Comrade Tito was famous because he had many woman in his life. In some newspaper article I read that comrade Stalin tryed few times to kill Tito but he failed.

Paper bill with 10 dinara is coal miner Alija Sirotanović. I also read in some old magazine that Tito told Alija what can I do for you, Alija said I want water and electricity for my village, Tito make his wish. Later Alija get opportunity to choose any car from the factory, he choose the most cheapest car - Fićo.

You can see here car Fićo ;o)

Later people told to Alija this is not you on the paper bill, he become desperate and start to drink and than legend died... (I don't know is this story true or false but it is interesting).

In my version of Monopoly I didn't use boring Monopoly figures, I use Alf, Smurf and animal characters. I also use old coins from ex Yugoslavia.

This is old version of Monopoly from 1993 / 1994 I think. This Monopoly have paper money but I didn't use it. New version of Monopoly have credit cards. This game we played in my childhood somewhere during the war time.

* My little mistake. On 10 paper bill is Arif Heralić steel worker from Zenica, Alija Sirotanović was on other bill 20000, they look similar I think ;D.

P.s. Monopoly is a board game that originated in the United States of America in 1903 as a way to demonstrate that an economy which rewards wealth creation is better than one in which monopolists work under few constraints and to promote the economic theories of Henry George and in particular his ideas about taxation. The current version was first published by Parker Brothers in 1935. Subtitled "The Fast-Dealing Property Trading Game", the game is named after the economic concept of monopoly—the domination of a market by a single entity. It is now owned and produced by the American game and toy company Hasbro.

Intuitive Machines - IM-2 - Athena Lander (Nova-C Class)- Last image from the lunar landing zone - Magnification and reconstruction via AI.

This is our version, via our artificial intelligence models, of the last image from Intuitive Machines Mission 2 (IM-2)

The NOVA-C-class lander Athena succeeded in the most southerly lunar landing ever, but this time the lander also lay on its side.

We attempted a calibration of the image by trying to visually preserve every piece of the lander.

The file is available at 37.86 million pixels for download at a resolution of 7128x5312 pixels.

The Church of the Nativity of the Mother of God is an Orthodox church located in the Iosefin district of Timișoara.

The church was built between 1931 and 1936 according to the plans of the architect Victor Vlad in the neo-Byzantine style, which is inspired by the model of the Hagia Sophia in Istanbul, including the buttresses, the shape of the dome and the separate bell tower.

The mural, executed in the "fresco bono" style, belongs to the painters Catul Bogdan (altar apse) and Ioachim Miloia (dome) and was restored in 1958 by Professor Anastasie Demian, who added 18 additional biblical scenes.

In 1983-1985 Professor Victor Jurca added 70 additional scenes.

The iconostasis, the chandelier and the tomb of the Lord, in the style of the Curtea de Argeș Baptistery, were carved in linden wood by Ștefan Gajo.

The thrones, chairs and benches were carved in oak wood by Traian Novac.

The floor is made of a combination of white Rușchița marble and pink marble.

In the cemetery, laid out like a small park, there are the busts of the five founders of the church: Iacob Marian, Eng. Victor Vlad, Rev. Ioan Imbroane, Ave. Emanuil Ungurianu and Ioachim Miloia, executed by the sculptor Aurel Gheorghe Ardeleanu.
