Bon jeudi. Premier avril .. Qui va vous jouer un bon tour ?
It is not my garden but I enjoyed visiting this garden during one of my trips to California. In fact I'm there virtually and it's good because it's hot and I like the heat. Hope you like the paint effect in this photo. Good Thursday. April 1st already .. Who is going to play a trick on you?
Not to spoil the magic of how I do my photos, but this is my avi shot three different times. It took me all day, but mostly because Second life was acting up and my inventory disappeared for a couple hours...

Hope you haven't forgotten about me :P. Apologies for beeing MIA this weekend. I've been so busy showing my mom and aunt around Cali. It was a lot of fun, we went to San Diego, Laguna, Santa Monica, and many other places! Need to catch up on work now.
I was making some waves around the house as panic was setting in. I could not fins any waves around the house.

Not sure what kind of critter this kestrel had its eye on, exactly, but whatever it was, this sadly might have been the last thing it witnessed...
Not all our daffodils were knocked over by the heavy winds of recent days: our garden is still awash with yellow ... and white, like this daffodil.
It looks a bit 'double' because there is another one standing right behind and I didn't like to cut it off just for the photo.
"A drop of water is not immortal; it can be resolved into oxygen and hydrogen. If, therefore, a drop of water were to maintain that it had a quality of aqueousness which would survive its dissolution we should be inclined to be skeptical."

I wish you all a fabulous weekend!
“You can talk with someone for years, everyday, and still, it won't mean as much as what you can have when you sit in front of someone, not saying a word, yet you feel that person with your heart, you feel like you have known the person forever.... connections are made with the heart, not the tongue.”

...To someone special...
I think about you...
Always...
Taste the Blood in my spit
Between the cracks of my lips
Something's drumming a warning
Pull me over your skin
Bruise me so I can feel
We lie awake ‘til the morning
I’m not afraid of what it feels like
I’m not afraid of it at all
Let my fingertips trace
The shadows over your face
We twist and turn in the twilight
Still the aura can move
The sun creeps into the room
Something's breaking the silence
I’m not afraid of what it feels like
I’m not afraid of it at all
Oh, how far does this road go?
It’s never ending
This is how it starts
Don’t know where it goes
This is how it is
Never let me go...
Thank you all for your support!
Music (very proud this actually is a Dutch band)
I’m gonna walk down the lane of true love
Not gonna bend or break
It’s in all of us
Could it be right?
Could it be right?
Could it be?
Would it be right if we would stop this fight?
Would it be right if we would stop tonight?
Whilst not the biggest of the major glaciers in Los Glaciares National Park, Spegazzini Glacier is a hugely impressive sight, if for no other reason than the sheer size of its wall, which can tower as high as 135 metres (440 feet).
The Spegazzini glacier is one of the bordering glaciers between Argentina and Chile after the Agreement to specify the route of the limit from Mount Fitz Roy to Cerro Daudet in 1998 . The lower section of the glacier is located in Argentina, in the Lago Argentino department of the Santa Cruz province . Its source is in Chile, in the province of Último Esperanza in the Magallanes region . It is protected by the Bernardo O'Higgins and Los Glaciares National Parks.
It has an area of 134 km² and an average width of 1.5 km . The glacier originates from the South Patagonian ice field and flows eastward, reaching the Spegazzini arm of Lake Argentino . Its main characteristic is the great height of its front, which reaches 135 m, making it the highest in Los Glaciares National Park and one of the most important. The vegetation around it produces a marked contrast of colors, produced by glacier erosion, humidity, wind and the sun.
It owes its name to the botanist Carlos Luis Spegazzini , who was the first to study the local flora.
The glacier is fed by the Mayo Norte and Peineta glaciers. In addition, it has the peculiarity of not showing signs of retreat, which is a phenomenon common to large glaciers.

Another shot of the Horsey Windpump, Norfolk taken a little later than the previous shot. Alas the Tea Room was not open during my visit but perhaps if it had been I would not have had the place to myself. Too much wind to get a reflection in the water or freeze the grasses without pushing the ISO to silly altitudes! Literally 1-2mins walk from where I parked my car in the NT car park this has to be one of the easiest locations to reach I've ever shot!

The "Shooting Gallery" is officially open for 2016 and this scrub jay does not seem impressed! My shooting gallery (a Moose Peterson term) consists of a stool in our great room with my camera set on a tripod looking out one of our windows into our backyard (quite the conversation piece). I do shoot through the glass. Since this sits on the north side of our house, the light in winter is just not very good. But with spring just around the corner we are now getting late afternoon light on the deck and the birds are photo targets once again! Hooray for Spring!
Thanks for your views and comments!
My plan was to photograph the supermoon, but sadly there were too many clouds.
I made another plan, and as you see I have a superior burning sky.
Happy after all. :-)

We came across a few birds like this male Orchard Oriole frantically moving in the brush. We were trying to get pics when they would stop ever so briefly. Kevin spotted something in the branches. It turned out to be a four foot Black Racer snake wrapped up in the branches. Maybe there was a nest and it was going for the eggs or the little ones. I went down and shook the branches and the snake slithered away. The birds calmed down and all was good. Hope it didn't come back. Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge, Smyrna, DE.
