Not great at these low light pics yet but still like a series I took of this magpie stting in the ponsiana tree up at the farm, as we look across to the Great Dividing Range and amost fall into meditation, taking in the end of another beautiful day in Queensland.
Looks like the maggie was enjoying it too..
sooc..
Have a lovely weekend, my friends x
PS. Taken last October, so this tree was still yet to come into it's Summer blossom.
I had my Nikon resting on the picnic table and snake just slithered on by it and down the other side of the table.
Sorry - but the evening light was so changing - just processed this one and really like the colours and textures. Cable Beach, Broome. Western Australia.
Not sure about posting this, similar to previous shots
Having said that we will probably visit this beach in Florida at least once a year, to visit our grand daughter Adeline
Therefore cannot promise it will be the last, but the sky will be different
Played around with the levels and introduced a little radial blurring to create this. One of the dodgy shots my 28-75 was producing all morning!
HSS!
A long exposure, landscape image of a mossy covered rock in the sand on the beach at Hopeman in Morayshire, Scotland.
" You are not alone
I’ve been here the whole time singing you a song
I will carry you, I will carry you
I know you can’t remember how to shine
Your heart’s a bird without the wings to fly
Is anybody out there?
Can you take this weight of mine?
Is anybody out there?
Can you lead me to the light?
You are not alone
I’ve been here the whole time singing you a song
I will carry you, I will carry you... "

Mike is breaking up a beaver barracade using a rope and metal hooks. The beaver built this barracade but Mike broke it up because it was blocking the passage way for the kayakers.

This tiny praying mantis was hanging out on the table outside at our friend’s house. To ensure his longevity I decided to move him to a safer place in the trees. When I put my hand out he happily walked on and of course photos had to be taken (which weren't entirely easy with only one hand available!).
I was blown away with his amazing movements which were also rather entertaining. He started on a walk up my arm, stopping for a quick prayer then some crazy head twisting. I’m pretty sure it turned 180° for cleaning (I think) or maybe he just enjoy contorting his body! In one photo he is barely recognisable as a praying mantis.
When I went to put him on a tree he wasn't terribly happy to go. After I had encouraged him to get on the plant he stretched out towards me almost like he didn’t want me to go. So I put my hand out again and what do you know he leapt back onto me. I had a new friend! And I found out that praying mantis can jump.
Eventually I had to socialise with humans so found another tree and encouraged him to alight again then wished him a fond farewell. Feeling uplifted by the experience.
this male Common Pheasant walked by while I was aiming for Nuthatch, Woodpecker, Long-tailed Tit etc.
It had no clue where the clicking sound came from...

Macro Mondays: Eye of the Beholder
Not as sharp as I would have liked ,but ... It was a fair way up high and quite a distance ..but I like the composition
Not a sharp photo of a very beautiful moment. I was shooting some landscape scene with my heavy beloved beast. Manual setting for landscape and of course manual focus. So suddenly when hearing the huge sound of the swans wings movement in the air I had few seconds to snap with the above mentioned setting.
