Chris labors mightily to get Mo's new laptop Wifi working, while Ed contemplates which of the kegs of beer is his favorite. The poor guy had a hard time making up his mind and had to sample a glass out of each keg 20 or 30 times before he was able to make up his mind. Chris' attempt at the Wifi was successful, but it was certainly a challenge. While most of these things take him about 10 minutes to get working, the NetGear unit was much more frustrating. Take my advice, buy a LinkSys.

My RMAd drive got back from Seagate, so now i can finally expand my ReadyNAS. I looked at the instructions online since this was the first time i'd be adding space, and it sounded straightforward. The hardest part literally was finding the screws and mounting the drive to its cage. Then i just slid it back into the NV+ and that was that. I got several FrontView popups/emails telling me what was going on, but i didn't have to do anything. A few hours later the disk was initialized and the X-RAID volume capacity was doubled. 1.5TB x 3 = 2774 GB usable space (one drive for redundancy).

The nice man on the Netgear stand let me fondle his VOIP phone... I didn't have mine on me that day for a comparison shot, but the Netgear one is smaller, faster and feels nicer.
I may have to stick my SMC one on ebay and buy one of these instead... they are about £20 more expensive though he said. I'm not sure i'll bother... but i am tempted.
If i were just buying a VOIP phone new i'd get this one, but skype made the SMC very tempting with their free year voicemail, FON router and skype minutes.
