Netgear recommends running the memory test twice on new RAM before using it. Just hold the power button down until the 5th blink, the display wil read 25: Memory Test. Took about 3 hours to finish both cycles.

One of the drives in my NAS went on the fritz and for the longest time I couldn't figure out what was wrong - it kind of worked, but was really sluggish. And when I tried rebooting it just never came back on-line, which is why I had like a months break from posting.

It runs an old P3-1000Mhz 14" screen laptop with a Netgear 802.11b wireless card and the Slikr Flikr screensaver.

I just inherited this old lap top from my dad. He just bought a new one, and said I could have this one. Let's see, the battery port is dysfunctional so I have to have it plugged in to the electrical socket to work, the built in mouse pad is permanently screwed up, and it is slow and old...but by gone, I love it. I'm not a hoity toity gal...I'm of the, if it still works, awesome, variety. Of course I have my PC which actually does kick @$$, but it is nice to be able to take the laptop somewhere and just check stuff on the net.
The hat is a leftover prop from my choreography days. I was attempting to clean my house and ventured into my storage room with all the wigs and stuff from old plays, and fabrics, and costumes, and then got frustrated and walked away from the task to fiddle on the lap top. Go fig.
