"Chipmunk Tail" by Patti Deters. This lone chipmunk was balancing on a narrow ledge waiting for me to move out of the way, or perhaps she was hoping I would toss her some food! The intricate tail is what caught my eye, and how the long gray fur hairs make the tail look so much larger and fluffier than it really is. Also notice how long the toes are; all the better to climb and grab on for agility and speed. This is an outdoor animal photograph with a vertical crop. "I think that my love for photography was first kindled during long stints in hospital, photographing flowers that my mother had brought me. Throughout my adolescence I struggled with my mental and physical health, and nature was a sanctuary and escape for me. I lament the disconnection between our everyday lives and the natural world. The vulnerability, hope and suffering that I experienced, combined with the beauty and majesty of nature, inspired this body of work."

Le Cirio is a famous long-standing Art Nouveau brasserie in Brussels with a facade dating from 1909, gilded columns and curved mirrors. This gorgeous Brussels café started out in 1886 as a delicatessen selling Italian specialities.
Art Nouveau, meaning "new art" in French, was a decorative art style that flourished from roughly 1890 to 1910, characterised by sinuous lines, organic forms, and nature-inspired motifs, influencing architecture, design, and the decorative arts.
I was teleported to a store where I found some cute things but the best part was that this store was located at a sim with other stores with cute stuff on it.
I found the top/dress, the muff and the earrings there.

"Frosty Red Cherries - Vertical" by Patti Deters. This closeup of a clump of red crab apple cherries shows the bright red fruit still hanging from tree stems, frozen solid and frosted with ice and snow. The hoar frost brings out the beauty of these little fruits, while the cold weather preserves them a bit for birds and other animals that eat the nutritious berries. Crabapple trees are generally known for their pretty spring blooms, but when covered in icy hoar frost, I think winter is when they are most beautiful. This is one of several in this series, with links to others below. A collection of photos from our trip to Barcelona, Spain in March 2025. Alongside exploring the city’s vibrant streets and iconic landmarks, we also took day trips to Girona, Besalú, Castellfollit, and the stunning Montserrat.
Without question, it’s a destination full of beauty and inspiration—well worth the journey!

fineartamerica.com/featured/watercolor-backyard-birds-in-... Original watercolor painting, "Backyard Bird Winter Design," by Lynn Cyrus / Cascade Colors. This is the newest addition to my design series, which features nature-inspired designs and patterns. Because I painted it with this in mind, the birds are purposefully lacking in detail with only their basic shapes and patterns captured. Featured backyard birds are found in the central to southeastern part of North America: Northern Cardinal, Red-bellied Woodpecker, Downy Woodpecker, Eastern Bluebird, Pine Siskin, Blue Jay, House Finch, Carolina Chickadee, White-breasted Nuthatch, and Tufted Titmouse. A colorful nature and songbird design. This could also potentially be an alternative Christmas or holiday card choice.
"Loved Ones Are Near - Cardinal on Sunflowers" by Patti Deters. This image is inspired by the memorial saying "When cardinals appear, loved ones are near." A Northern Cardinal (Cardinalis cardinalis) is perched on lovely yellow blooming sunflowers enjoying a summer afternoon and perhaps visiting a loved one.
The popular saying "when cardinals appear, angels are near" is credited to an untitled poem by American poet, Victoria McGovern (a verse is shown below). In history, the first reference to cardinals and the afterlife has been found in Native American cultures. Today, many people like to believe that when they see a cardinal, it means a loved one from heaven is sending them a cheerful hello. Another version of this sentiment is "When Cardinals appear, a loved one is near", as is depicted in this artwork.
UNTITLED
May you come to find comfort in and remember,
Cardinals appear when angels are near.
So go now, sit outside and drink your tea.
Keep a look out for the little red bird,
It is there your loved ones will be.

"Welcome to the Garden" by Patti Deters. A colorful floral arrangement surrounds the words "Welcome to the Garden" on a blue texture background. Reminiscent of Swedish folk art, this contemporary version uses bright yellows and reds with blue to flowers that are symmetrically placed in this cheerful card or sign. Green vines and leaves complete the design. This image is also available with the words "Home Sweet Home" at the link below. Thank you for viewing this image. This was a very intricate project, one of those, where you put everything...! ... this capelet is crocheted in a very thin cotton thread, they have been hand dyed before, by myself... the painted owl was done by norakaren, and it was the inspiration for this piece. accented with natural elements, like wooden beads and buttons, as well as many texture and nature inspired motifs...
This piece is a Fantasy I made reality. I love it. One of a kind.
"Ghost Crab of Mexico - Selective Color" by Patti Deters. The Ghost Crab (Ocypode occidentalis) is a semiterrestrial crab identified by uniform coloring (can be gray white to peach pink) and by the unequal size of their claws (chelae), as well as by their long heavy eye stalks. They live close to the ocean surf with the largest species found just above the high tide line. They are nocturnal crustaceans appearing right around sunset. They are omnivorous scavengers eating anything found in the surf drift line such as dead fish or even other crustaceans. These little creatures are quite speedy and are not afraid to run into crashing waves when threatened. They have very strong pinchers that can inflict major instant pain. They reach a maximum size of about 6 inches. The Ghost Crab is found along the Pacific side of the Baja, in the upper portions of the Sea of Cortez, and along the coast of the Mexican mainland through to Guatemala. The beach sand in this photograph has been desaturated to bring out the color of the crab in what is known as the 'selective color' effect. If you like this nature inspired simple and minimalist photograph, please see more outdoor wildlife images at patti-deters.pixels.com/featured/ghost-crab-of-mexico-sel....

"Under the Sea Mandala" by Patti Deters. This vibrant mandala with symmetrical design features an intricate combination of fish, seaweed, and starfish in purple, pink, blue, and yellow hues. This bright, almost psychedelic design, transports you to a magical underwater world, where fish dart among the seaweed and octopuses dance among the starfish. The circular design features a central motif of a colorful starfish surrounded by swirling waves and seaweed. The intricate details and vibrant colors invite you to lose yourself in the beauty and fantasy of this magical abstract underwater wonderland. Two versions of this image are available - one has the solid white background, and the other has a transparent background so you can customize for whatever background colors you like best - you can see some examples in the product images. For the JewelyClub’s jewelryclub.deviantart.com “Nature inspired” contest. This necklace actually began last November for a completely other project, but I got stuck and put it away as I only had the frame and didn’t know how to continue. Then this contest came and I started to search for my inspiration. Now, my Muse and I have a very straight forward relationship. She tells me what to do and I do it, so when “we” saw this amazing macro shot “Little Green World” sandy515.deviantart.com/art/Little-green-world-105082164 by *Sandy515 , my Muse jumped high and started to give me orders.
In her description Irene (Sandy515) says “…some warm green color and a tiny drop on a fern.”. The trigger here being “fern”. I love ferns. I adore ferns. I love how they look and how the feel to the touch. I even like the smell of ferns. And all at once I start… sorry… my Muse started to give me pictures of young fern leaves, spiralling and stretching up and out towards the bright spring light. And then I knew I had to use that necklace frame that’d been sitting on my desk for so long.

Heavy gauge sterling silver wire was shaped into a flowing shape and then wrapped with hair thin sterling silver wire. I crocheted two backdrops for the two “drops” and wrapped them to the frame and on these backdrops I then … well, in lack of a better word, sewed faceted rondelles of Peridot and Vesuvianite on to it. These stones sparkle and glisten softly and give a very subdued and elegant shine to the necklace. To further enhance the feeling I oxidised the whole piece dark grey and gave it a good polish to for shine.
“In a Single drop of Water” is an exceedingly comfortable necklace. It is very flexible and also adjustable so it will fit almost any sized neck, but the necklace will position it self best (with the two drops fairly snug against each other) if you neck is up to 40cm (15.8in.) in circumference.

The Courtyard of the Lions was constructed in the second half of the 14th century in the Al-Hambra Palace, Spain. When the Christians arrived (having kicked out the Muslims) they believed it to be the most beautiful part of the palace comparing how beautiful it was to the dirty poorly designed palaces in Christendom.
The architectual style is known as mudéjar: combining the intricate filigree and encrustations of Islamic art with the three dimensional, nature-inspired style of Gothic architecture. It represents a Garden of Paradise with a desert oasis of leafy palms surrounding a fountain (covered in white for rennovation). The rectangles between the marble walkways were covered in flowers and aromatic bushes.
The rectangular section on each of these pillars has an inscription, the same inscription which runs thoughout the palace in different styles, which reads "There is no god but Allah" (see the note then view large). Thus the theme throughout the palace is to recognise the existence of only 1 God, Allah in Arabic, neither male, nor female, without partners.

The drop that captures the essence of Vancouver! Standing 20 meters tall, The Drop is not just a sculpture; it's a tribute to the city's relationship with water and the beauty of nature. Designed by the talented artists of Inges Idee, this stunning piece symbolizes the gentle raindrops that grace our lives, reminding us to embrace every moment, even the rainy ones. Let's celebrate the art that connects us to our environment!
We stand here proud and tall
Our heads swollen with joy
Feeling the pulse of nature
And at night
With the crazy glue
We fix broken pieces
Into kaleidoscopes
Of horizons
Where we sail
With no wind
No harbor
But we sing
The songs of seductions
Holding hands
Counting all blessings
Our heads swollen with joy
Feeling the pulse of nature
Inspired by Erin and her beautiful work.
Thank you!
