Since a couple of years I don't like the new models. The balance of Rolex watches, the wanna-be vintage watches. But,... JLC made a very nice effort with the Deep Sea Chronograph. I really like what Jaeger did with this design. It is very old-skool without a logo on the crown. Also great is doesn't have a date.
This will probably become one of my favorite watches.

I was looking for this watch for a while and finally find one. I decided to put it on the grey ZULU Nato strap.

This is my Seiko 5 Sports Military watch model SNZG09-J1 with the automatic movement 7S36B. Made in Japan.
I use this as my outdoor watch as it is relatively cheap yet sturdy. It is easy to read, has Super Luminova on all three hands and all twelve hour markers. Day and date come in handy when far from home. It is water resistant to 100 m and will simply keep on ticking in all conditions. The strap is a nylon NATO strap with matte details.

Materials used :
13 watts daylight (6500K) Bulb
No brand desktop lamp
Tracing Paper gauge # 80/85
Vellum paper and felt paper
Ruler, cutter, masking tape, packaging tape and a box.
btw, all photos were taken handheld ... screams for a tripod :-)

This lovely old CWC (Cabot Watch Company) mechanical wind up watch was given to me by my Dad. He was a soldier in the British Army between the mid sixties to the late nineties. This watch was issued to my Dad in the early seventies and is completely original (no re-luming) apart from the NATO strap. As can be seen in the photograph the crystal has some scratches, (these look much worse in the photograph than to the naked eye), but I think they add to the history of the watch and I don't intend to polish them out.

In the mean time this watch indeed has become one of my favorites!! Currently wearing it on the original strap, which just looks great.
