Cyclist Stephen Bate (Tandem B) from Mytholmroyd, with Pilot Adam Dugglyby wins a bronze medal for ParalympicsGB at the Rio Paralympic Games 2016.

 

ParalympicsGB is the name for the Great Britain and Northern Ireland Paralympic Team that competes at the summer and winter Paralympic Games. The Team is selected and managed by the British Paralympic Association, in conjunction with the national governing bodies, and is made up of the best sportsmen and women who compete in the 22 summer and 4 winter sports on the Paralympic Programme.

One last shot from Le Tour, this was earlier in the day while all the spectators were still streaming up Cragg Vale.

I'd been hoping to get some nice snow photos today with a bright and interesting sky, unfortunately the fog never lifted and it wasn't until nearly sunset before the slightest bit of colour briefly appeared in the sky.

A impressionist inspired oil painting called "Gateway to Mytholmroyd" this is the last bridge to go under on the canal tow path and pass a little hamlet to the small town of Mytholmroyd, West Yorkshire by SDB Designs painted by Sean Broadbent

Class 150 No. 150103 (left ) arrives from Leeds on the 09.14 to Manchester Victoria, while arriving on platform 2 is the 09.14 to Leeds utilising No. 155341.

Waiting to leave Mytholmroyd in the Calder Valley with a service for Southport on 18 July 2019. This unit is now at the Wensleydale Railway. I was never sure why some of these units had a turquoise coloured headcode panel.

158752 arrives at Mytholmroyd working 1B19, the 0812 York to Blackpool North.

Heading towards Luddenden Foot, Mytholmroyd and Hebden Bridge.

Romania-built Electroputere Type 5 56 020 rolls past Nest Estate on the western outskirts of Mytholmroyd with the Preston Docks-Lindsey oil tanks. The date is September 21st 1984.
