What inspired me to take the photos that I took were the beauty of the scenery and the important people in it. This photo was taken in Boracay, Philippines. I want to show all my viewers and followers what the Philippines have to offer in a picture. It’s breath-taking scenery and the people in it create such a happy/full/dramatic emotion. It looks you feel like you’re in one with them, looking at the sunset.

The next photos I took are pictures of my children. My eldest (Ethan) is 4 and my youngest (Callie) is 3 year old. I took the photos in black and white to add more drama and attention to the subjects. I love taking pictures of my children even if they’re drooling while sleeping or picking their nose. These pictures are all that I have when they grow older. It serves as a “memory tool box” for me.

My greatest disappointments were the angling of my children in some photos; they looked weird or the things around them looked incoherent. I managed to tell them to walk back or further to get more depth in my photos. My greatest success is seeing my children happy in every photo. They didn’t seem to mind that I was clicking my life away hehe..

Myself and My World

I am a dreamer, a lover, an adventurer and a protector. I have chosen the five photos that I feel best represent me, and I am most passionate about.

For the first photo, I chose to photograph the Vet Tech building on campus, because that is what I want to do with my life. Since I was young all I have ever wanted to do was save animals, to make their existence better. I love animals, nature and everything about healing. Veterinary Technology is the perfect career for myself and I can see it easily becoming my whole world. I chose to just get the lettering in the shot because I did not want anything else distracting from the pretty symbol and lettering.

Next, I love to travel and explore new places. I chose to represent my passion for that by capturing the stunning orange/gold sunset reflecting in the side mirror of my car. I focused in closely on the side of the car and let the reflection of the horizon guide the eye. She is my first car, so she's special to me. She has allowed me to go on many trips and adventures so I felt I should capture the amazement I feel while exploring new places with her.

Hand in hand with my love for animals, is my love for nature and to be outside. It is a big part of who I am. I feel very connected with the elements and the plants and trees, and I have been surrounded by it since I was an infant. I chose my photo of a patch of flowers to show this, I love the photo because of the cool colors and then the vibrant petals which contrast nicely against the dark grey wood. It is very nice to look at, and I find all nature to be beautiful in its own way.

The fourth photo shows the Ferris Wheel in Disneyland's California Adventure. Disney is one of my favorite things, I love the movies, the characters, the environment and being surrounded by happiness. I took this photo as the sun set over Paradise Pier and turned the sky into Cotton Candy, which enhanced the magical feel of the place even more. Some day, I hope to work for the Disney Company and to work with the animals that help make the place The Happiest Place on Earth!

Lastly, my dog Peppy. She is my world. We adopted her as a puppy and she is my first dog. Watching her grow and mature, her little sweet personality blossoming with her, was amazing. Protecting innocent lives like hers is what inspires me every day to pursue my dreams as a Vet Tech to help keep other animal's lives safe also. I cannot imagine a day without her spirit in my life, she has taught me so much during her short time here on earth, and as she grows into her elderly years, I hope to give her back tenfold what she gave me.

Thats just a little bit about me and the things that I love! I enjoy making photos and I hope to improve my skills to make even more powerful images.

Theo loves it at the deep. Some of the fish are bigger than him.

Hi friends, I’ll start by saying that I’m not 32 years old haha and

I’m actually 20 years of age. It was one of my good friend’s 23rd birthday this past week.

What really inspired me in taking photos was that I was always into the fine arts. Growing up I always loved photographing things just for fun and ever since I took a traditional film course in high school I was hooked ever since. What really caught my eye too was all my friends were into skateboarding but I was more into the person behind the lens and capturing these moments. In my album I composed up 6 photos that I would say describes myself pretty well. I’ll start off with the shoe photograph. I think every outfit will start with the foundation and that to me is shoes. I love all types of shoes from dressing up with some clean oxfords, derbies, boots to dressing down casually with runners, basketball shoes and everyday sneakers. I think it’s quintessential to anyone’s wardrobe to have some neutral tone sneakers as they are easy to work with and can pair with almost anything. My next couple photos are all related because they were all taken in San Francisco. I love the city so much and perhaps I will have chance to move there and expand my experiences somewhere in the near future. I love going out and having a good time with friends and making new ones along the way. I think the city would be perfect for me because there is always something happening in the nightlife and always new places to visit. The last photo I have in this photo album is a picture of food because I absolutely love eating food (and trying out new coffee/boba shops). I’m not really afraid to try out new things and I am always down to get food. I don’t really know what my greatest accomplish with this project but it would probably be getting that stair photo cropped fairly decent. And my biggest disappointment is definitely not taking even more photos that would further depict who I am and my lifestyle. I think that life is full of experiences and I’m chasing perspectives.

I live in an old apartment building in Brooklyn. I tried to furnish it accordingly but I like too many things so the end effect is, how shall I put it... eclectic. But I love the early afternoon light in my kitchen. I bake the no-knead bread every week now.

That screw-down object in the middle of the table is a cast-iron book press I found for $20 at a junk store. The window looks out through an under-deck storage fence (once a dog kennel) and into the back yard. See notes for description of storage system

So happy to share my world with u guys! My name is Tong and I am a bio major student. I am definitely a beach lover. In my hometown (Chengdu, Sichuan, China), there is no beach or ocean. When I came to California as an international student, I can’t wait to have fun. I enjoy spending my weekends on the beach and walk on the soft sand and smell the relaxing smell from the clear blue ocean. Santa Cruz is my favorite place and I can also row the boat in the sea and try to approach the sea lions, but sunburn annoys me a lot. I love animals and I can play with the cats for the whole afternoon just outside my neighbor’s garden. In my hometown, I have a dog, a cat and a talking bird, miss them a lot! ☺ I am good at cooking too, especially spicy food! If you have heard about my city, Sichuan, Chengdu, you must know it’s famous for spicy food and hot pot. However, recently I am too lazy to cook, I have too much math staff to do. I’d like to share more food pictures with u after I finish my math course. Unlike most of girls, I don’t have a lot of selfies because I am not very confident in front of camera and maybe that’s the reason my ID photos are too ugly to look at ☹

Thanks for visiting my photos ~

I was inspired to take the images I did because I wanted to portray my life and what most represents me, through the lens of my camera.

The first image is of myself, which I took through a bathroom mirror. The photo is meant to portray me, and my interest in photography, as I go through this class to enhance my photography skills and become a better photographer.

The second photo is a shot of some of the most important people in my life, including my boyfriend on the left, and my family, on the right. The photo with my boyfriend and I was taken when we were in my favorite place to be, Hawaii. I hope to be able to live there in the future. The photo on the right consists of myself, my loving parents, and my supportive three brothers. I chose to display these photos from some of my most utilized electronics, my MacBook Pro and my iPad, minus my iphone and camera.

The third photo is pretty self-explanatory, as it is a copy of my diploma from graduate school, and a copy of my certificate of licensure as a physical therapist. These two things are some of my greatest achievements and succeses, which I am most proud of. As far as disappointments, I don't have a greatest disappointment because I believe that in life, everything happens for a reason and no matter how disappointing something may seem, there is oftentimes something you can learn from it that helps you become who you are today.

The fourth photo represents what I love to do most. It shows my running shoes and yoga mat. I have been running for many years, and run in half/full marathons. I also love to do hot yoga/Pilates, as a form of relaxation and exercise.

Lastly, the fifth photo is of a wine bottle and wine glass. I love wine tasting and enjoying wine with my meals, or with some tasty cheese and crackers.

This is just a glimpse of me and my world through my camera, and it highlights the basic gist of who I am. Hopefully as I become a better photographer, I can show you more of who I am with more artistic photos and more use of my learned skills.

My name is Yoceline Borrayo, and I am a superhero. If i'm not comforting a sick baby, changing diapers, cooking, cleaning the house, going to school, going to work, I am supporting not only my husband and his dreams, but our families dream as well. Seeing my life through the lens has had a huge impact because I've come to realize that the love and beauty I find in things I enjoy can be captured, shared and stored for many people to see. It is an amazing feeling being able to capture the right moment, the way you in-visioned it.. however when it comes to little kids they're not the most cooperative.. but there are instances where it's ok, you're able to capture that much personality when it is a candid picture( my fav). Reasons for my choice in pictures: 1. My husband and son are my entire world in itself, I met my husband in 5th grade when we were 10 years old and I had the biggest crush on him since 5th grade, we started dating Junior year in highschool got married a year after graduation, and had our son a few months later 2. My husband has a love for classic cars, although I don't share the same passion we do go to car shows together and I take pictures of cars for him ( it's a win-win for both of us) 3. I am a server, and have been a server for 5 years now and it is something I pride myself in, and now being able to work at The Grill inside the SAP center is just amazing ! 4. I have a sweet-tooth, and im not picky about sweets either ! I've picked up a habit of eating skittles whenever i'm taking pictures ( helps me concentrate) 5. I am attending my 2nd year at Foothill where I am majoring in Radiology with hopes on moving onto Medical Diagnostic Sonography, I am also contemplating in double majoring in Photographing.. if not minoring in it ! ... Imagine someone who is able to do everything and more with only a few hours of sleep and wouldn't trade it for the world.. super hero? Ehh I guess not, I'm just a mom (:

here the place to be with out rules in sl just feel free to viste .
