This series is a prototype set of pages for my current book "Holden's Silence". (Holden was the architect of the library the artist's book portrays. These aren't the full size pictures, and there will be a text, and very likely another round of editing. (The text will be based on the by-laws that were in use when the building was first opened, 100 years ago. My use of them will, if I can figure something out, allude to what falls through the definitions that by-laws, for example, symbolise, and allude to the silence that permeates the library, even in dereliction, and the silence that lies beyond language).
I'd love to have your thoughts on it.
Joe Mackall became friends with a neighboring Amish family and he wrote a book about his experiences and their experiences. What I like about this book is that Joe does not paint a picture of the Amish being perfect........he voices his own doubts and criticisms.
My cheapo bookcase I bought from Target. Notice how I screwed up the backing? It should be faced the opposite way! LOL! Well, I've decided to draw, sketch and place art & photography on the back wall of it. Even better. (I started with placing a picture of Ozzy. See it on the top shelf, your right?)

Josh and Brent discovered the town of Sharon Springs, New York by accident and they also kind of stumbled upon the mansion/farm that they purchased and moved into and turned into a working farm.
Sharon Springs is one of my favorite towns in New York State, which is why I read this book.
I got a NAS drive to do backups wirelessly and so Kellye has a place to backup all the baby pictures and videos. It's been a slow initial backup, but you can see why.

This is a version of Turndust, an artist's book project I am currently working on. This is an early stage 'storyboard' version. I've posted it because I am interested in seing if I can use community on Flickr to add something to the design process. What do you think of it? What could be improved? What's good? What does it make you think about?
I'm planning to develop the book for screenprint in one or two colours with hand colouring in watercolour, so each book will be a little different, although still part of an edition. I plan to include new versions and working-up on Flickr as I go along.
Since this book is intended as a narrative, it's best read from beginning to end. I recommend looking at the set.
Thanks for any comments.
