There are many more awesome shots out there of this view, but I finally found one I did that I liked a lot with a little processing...
View East at sunrise from near the Vista House on Crown Point along the Columbia River Gorge Historic Highway near Corbett, Oregon.
Thanks for dragging me out there, Larry
Sahara sand came with southern winds and hides the sky colours of sunset, even the sun. Athens, Greece.
The water was pretty choppy on this cloudy evening, resulting in the smoothed out muted reflection, with some pattern still left in the water surface. Interesting mix of colors there in the late evening as well over the river.

Happy Thanksgiving! This muted existence of 2020 can be trying, but the outdoors helps make it better anytime!
Handsome plover with a gentle, dove-like face. Breeding plumage distinctive, with bold white eyebrow, white breast band above rusty-orange belly with black center. Nonbreeding plumage buffy overall, with whitish eyebrow and breast band. A bird of dry upland habitats: breeds on moorland and tundra; migrants occur in fields, on golf courses, and mountaintops, at times in small groups, especially in spring. Often rather tame, but inconspicuous. (eBird)

This male is more muted in colour than his mate because Eurasian Dotterels are one of the few bird species where the male bird incubates the eggs and cares for the young, and therefore needs to blend into the scenery. This particular bird had returned to his nesting site in Lapland, Finland for at least three years.

After being so dramatic yesterday I am going for a more mellow and muted feel. It's too bad when you want to reshoot and you've eaten your props, haha.
During a heavy snowfall, even the faded colors of winter get overwhelmed by white snow and grey clouds.

I always like to take the most colorful images I've processed and then apply monochrome filters to see what happens.
Here, I've taken a rather bright and colorful image of the Hale House, purported (by Wikipedia anyway) to be one of the most photographed houses in Los Angeles, and darkened the colors, for a more "Halloween'y" look!

Location: Historic Gastown
Building: Leckie Building
The lights and colours are constantly changing on this building in different shades of red, purple and blue.
The Leckie Building is a massive cubic seven-storey Edwardian era warehouse/factory building located at the southeast corner of Cambie and Water Street in the historic district of Gastown. Built in 1908 and a large addition to the east was constructed in 1913. Exterior: brick and granite. Internal structure: built of massive timber elements.
Gastown is the historic core of Vancouver, and is the city's earliest, most historic area of commercial buildings and warehouses.
The Leckie Building is representative of the importance of Gastown as the trans-shipment point between the terminus of the railway and Pacific shipping routes, and the consequent expansion of Vancouver into western Canada's predominant commercial centre in the early 20th century
