If you're familiar with this piece you'll notice I left out the little ornaments, because I found they were too much for me to dust off a past-learned piece tonight. I couldn't internalize the funky fingerings. Perhaps once I gain a confident command over the notes I'll investigate a more embellished performance and with a better dynamic range.
I have to say banging out the C dominant 7's in the middle section at top volume is always really enjoyable :) And, er, I hope my neighbors didn't disagree with that statement too much :p

The song in the video is my own original creation. I made it with real instruments (real African drum and shakers with a reverb effect added later).
The video depicts a pair of Carpenter Bees. The video shows how the bees are able to hover like a helicopter.
The original video was shot at 60fps, and the final result is at 12.5 percent speed.
The video was shot with a Nikon lens on my Lumix G85, and I do not have precise data anymore on which lens I used, but it was most likely a 105mm Nikon Nikkor macro lens. The video was shot handheld, and the very slow frame rate compensates for camera shake effectively.

A few months back I had the chance to be in an actual music video. The band is MisterWives and lucky for me they were shooting the video in the Philadelphia area. Friends that shoot my high end video productions were in charge of creating the story as well as shooting the full music video.
They asked if I would like to play the "angry" dance coach while they asked Todd who was in their first music video is he would like to play the washed up dance coach. I figured since I was going to be on set hanging around for hours at a time I might as well bring my camera along to capture BTS candid photos.
The band had no issue with me capturing photos of them and just went about their day as I took candid images. The only thing I wish could have been different is that someone could have been shooting photos of me while I was "acting".

There is an interesting inspiration behind this video: the other night I saw a bat in my home, and so I opened up some windows and doors to let it out.
Opening the door led me to see an amazing scene of the full moon with very interesting clouds moving around it. The bat hung upside down inside for hours before it eventually left through a window - and I got this great moon video - all thanks to the bat!
The camera is a Lumix G85 with a Nikon Nikkor f/1.2 lens attached through an adapter.

This is the second video I made for my little princess June, once again with the same song that I wrote for her. She is constantly growing and learning and I'm constantly trying to capture it. I wanted to show the world my love for this beautiful creature and how she inspires me!
Directed by Spool, 'On The Highway' (bit.ly/qPONTg) is Pennan Brae's lead single from his 3rd release, 'Early Rise'. The video was shot in LA & Las Vegas in the Summer of 2011.
