A persiflage on the busy mumbaikar. Quite a toll to pay to be busy. If
wireless he could have send his exact position to friends, write e-mails and
order some tickets at PVR
Location: Society garden - wet after the first showers.
At last the wait is over, prayer is heard, smiles are back !!!

New local trains will be starting from and terminating at Parel Terminus today onwards. A big
relief for Mumbaikars commuting by local trains to work in Parel, Elphinstone and Worli area.

A flood of yellow and wild runners. They were present everywhere - even
their hats changed place to Standard Charterd's group members - good
marketing!

One community that impresses me is the hardworking sons of the soil of Maharashtra the Dabbawalas of Mumbai.
Very conscientious , polite, fun loving and impeccable in their work.
You measure time via the yardstick of the Dabbawala.
He is always on time come rain or shine cloud burst or inclement weather.
The Dabbawalas get along with all communities.
The Dabbawalas deliver your tiffin from your home to your office.. and you get your Brahmin vegetarian tiffin without any goof up..the Muslim man gets his tiffin piping hot biryani made by his wife..
I am a hardcore fan of the Dabbawalas...
Yes true Mee Mumbaikars..
Dabbawalas the pride of Jai Maharashtra.
I can go on shooting them forever .. and over the years I have shot them , encouraged by their endeavor to better themselves cosmically and holistically.
For us Mumbaikars garden is a luxury. For example I live in a typical working class Maharastrian society, have the luxury of a small patch of public garden bang opposite my society. Although it is rare that I step inside the place, I do like to go and take a walk when it is all empty. Some times I like to sit there early mornings and just watch the world around me jump start their day. I love to feel the wet grass under my feet and enjoy the early morning fresh air. In short greenery is a luxury for us Mumbaikars with the construction jungle spring up on every patch of earth in the city. Some of us find alternatives by setting up miniature garden in side small earthen pots and set it up on the edge of the balcony. I am one of them. It is not exactly a jungle but I have an aloe, a fern, a show plant and a money plant which I had flicked it from my neighbor who stays in the ground floor. (They say it brings in money if one flicks the plant).
Last weekend I realized that I need to add some color to my so called miniature garden and bought in these beauties. I don’t think I can explain them any better but these beauties remind me of Bipasha Basu singing "Beedi Jalai le" in between a bunch of men.

As the Day begins,
clouds, morning hues and the sea come together to provide splendid rapture of colors and design,
that makes one understand Gift from Nature that we have disowned.
So, I left three trains because I couldnt get into it. Check out the way people are traveling here. Crazy stuff!
There have been quite a few around at 7 am, Azad Maidan. Does anybody
recognize these particular two? Apparently they belong to the People for
Pelican tribe and looked quite vital this morning. 9977 and 1248 were eager
to win. Wonder what their timing was.
The CST station in Mumbai has been conferred the distinction of being the cleanest among the 477 railway stations in the Central Railway. The efforts of the BMC's cleaning staff in maintaining that cleanliness can be seen in this picture.
