For direct prints, knit and woven T-shirts, sweatshirts, jerseys, fleece goods, and bandanna stock may all be used. All popular types of transfer release papers may be used to produce cold peel transfers.

Members of the Lundag Eskaya Multipurpose Cooperative Jenelie Sandigan, from left, and Kika Lague with some of their sweetpotato chips in the Lundag Pilar community in Bohol, Philippines. They are members of an indigenous community known as the Eskaya, members have banded together to begin a sweetpotato production business. They've learned how to participate in the market and become players in the local value chain through Farmer Business Schools. The sweetpotatoes are grown interspersed with fruit and forest trees to help minimize deforestation. The Farmer Business School model was introduced in the area with generous funding from IFAD. CIP was asked to introduce the model from CIP partner INREMP, a government project focused on conserving local forests, to help people in the community find alternatives to deforestation. Protecting the forest helps create a buffer that mitigates the impact of tropical storms. The group has learned business skills, including production, marketing, and how to participate in value chains. To date the group has developed ten different flavors of sweetpotato chips and a variety of sweetpotato juice using locally available mango and a citrus fruit known as calamasi. "Everyone got excited when they learned came could be turned into different prodcs and not just boiled or cooked in sugar," says the group manager Jenelie Sandigan.
