Multiple exposure of a pregnant model, experimenting with coloured filters.

I know it is slightly crooked, but the ground was slightly sloped, & it looked fine through the view finder.

Week 31 chemo complete: Cancer levels dropped again

I had my monthly big blood test about a week and a half ago, and I’m pleased to report that my cancer levels (igG) are lower again.

My Cancer levels (normal range is 6.7 - 15.2 igG).

July 15.7

My Beta 2 Globulin (protein where my cancer resides) also dropped. Normal range is 1.8 - 4.8 g/L.

July 11.4

This photo taken at Wreck Beach represents my attitude right now. Although there was a steady rain falling, it didn’t matter. I’m in a happy mood, enjoying life, and focused on positivity each day.

To recap: On Sunday September 14th, I completed Cycle 8 Week 3. I have multiple myeloma and anemia, a rare cancer of the blood plasma. It is treatable, but incurable. On Sept 21th I begin my ninth 28 day treatment cycle, 21 days on (Pomalyst chemo pill), then 7 days off. I take dexamethasone, an oral steroid, every Monday.

I’m feeling great and my chemo treatment will continue indefinitely as long as my cancer levels remain low and stable. Thank you for your continual encouragement.

ODC Our Daily Challenge: Multiple Formations

A very small sample of the boys very large hat collection.

My plan was to have the boys face the "rack". And I did. And they did beautifully (see stream). But I'm not stupid (usually) and so I took a Plan B shot of them (see above) - just in case.

In Toby's case, I liked the Plan B more than the Plan A, but he didn't want ya'll to think he failed the exercise. So you get both shots.

I combined multiple exposures of a single RAW file in Photoshop to increase the contrast and vibrance of this shot.

Ich hab verschiedenen Varianten aus einer RAW-Datei in Photoshop kombiniert, um den Kontrast und die Farbdynamik zu verbessern. In Kürze gibt es dazu ein Video-Tutorial.

Sculptural portrait representing the Biblical King David, in a chapel in l'Abbaye de Cluny, in the town of Cluny (in the département of Saône-et-Loire, located in Bourgogne / Burgundy, in eastern France), on a mostly clear late afternoon in mid-October.

The Chapelle Saint-Jean-de-Bourbon was built towards the end of the 15th century, in "flamboyant Gothic" style. The biblical portraits around its walls have varying, individualised features and show surviving traces of polychromy -- multiple colours of paint.

The abbaye Saint-Pierre et Saint-Paul de Cluny was initially founded in 909 or 910 by Guillaume le Pieux / William the Pious, duc d'Aquitaine. The Benedictine establishment soon became noted as the key center of a monastic and intellectual revival -- sometimes referred to as the "10th-century Renaissance" -- retaining power, wealth, and political and cultural influence at least through the 12th century and, in some respects, into the late Middle Ages. Cluniac monasteries were founded throughout France and elsewhere in Europe; for example, there were numerous Cluniac priories in England and in German lands of the Holy Roman Empire.

In Cluny, the abbey church was constructed in three main phases, numbered Cluny I (consecrated in 926), Cluny II (consecrated in 981), and Cluny III (consecrated 1095), the last being the largest medieval church in Europe. Most of the relatively small part of the abbey complex that survives, from Cluny III, was built in the Romanesque style, ca. 1085 (1085 or 1088)-1130. Among the later surviving buildings are this chapelle Saint-Jean-de-Bourbon and the neoclassical 18th-century cloisters, built ca. 1750-1775, by which time the abbey had been in decline for centuries.

During the French Revolution, l'Abbaye de Cluny was suppressed, and its buildings were then sold off, many to be destroyed. Of the main church, only parts of the transepts can be seen. Helpfully, the museum on the site includes both three-dimensional physical models and virtual reconstructions of the successive phases, including a documentary film.

Multiple dog walkers! Porty beach is pretty much a social club for the hounds of Edinburgh, always a number of folks walking their canine companions there any day so each dog has so many chums to play with, chase and so many bums to sniff!

Opening the box of the Harrods Anna and Elsa LE100 dolls, to get a better look at them. We can do this without damaging the packaging in any way, by sliding the multiple covers off the box until the dolls are in the open. We can also get a look at the Certificate of Authencity, which is below the bottom of the inner box. The set is #39 of 100.

First look at the Harrods special edition of the Disney Store's Limited Edition Anna and Elsa Doll Set. I purchased it through a reseller, as it was only sold at the Harrods London store. It was released on November 1, 2013, in an edition of 100. The retail cost is more than four times that of the separately sold LE Anna and Elsa dolls (which will be released worldwide on November 20, 2013, in an edition size of 2500). As might be expected, the dolls are considerably different in details than the ''regular'' limited edition dolls. In particular there is considerably more crystals on the outfits, and embroidered snowflakes completely cover the outer gown (cape) of Elsa. Also, Elsa's skin has a pearly shiny surface, very similar to the skin of LE Ursula, although it has a much paler purplish color.

They are 17'' fully articulated dolls, with doll stands and certificated of authenticity. Anna is in her coronation gown, Elsa is in her Snow Queen gown.
