Our brainstorming activity and here are our thoughts on the question "When is multimedia appropriate?"
Bad day. Blah. My tattoo appointment got put off for some reason - but I will get it on Saturday. I think. At TGIF wishing it was really Friday.....
Multimedia artist ,Nicky Enright, presented a video projection to accompany his live DJ performance at El Museo del Barrio, Nov. 11, 2009. Themes of revolution and the modern metropolis were explored in collaboration with poets Edwin Torres, Mariposa, and Noël Jones, musicians Ernesto Gomez, and Colin Rishi Connor, and Bared Soles Dance Company. This is a photograph from the finish of the 2nd annual running of the Trim AC 10 Mile Road Race and Fun Run which was held in Trim, Co. Meath, Ireland on Sunday 7th February 2016 at 12:00. The race attracted over 650 participants and already the event shows growth on last year's number of participants. The race started on the Trim/Athboy road on the town's ring road and proceded to take an anti-clockwise loop out towards the village of Dunderry and townland of Kilbride before returning back to the Trim Industrial Estate for the finish. The route is all quiet country roads with some hills at 3, 6, 8 mile segments. Today the weather was every runner's nightmare: very cold air temperatures and from mile 4 until the finish a very strong headwind. While the weather was dry without any rain the windy conditions made a very fair course challenging. Waterstops were provided at the 4.5 and 7 mile marks on the course. All access roads were well stewarded. The event was sponsored by Bewleys 1840 and many local business establishments. Credit must go to the Trim AC team for their flawless organisation. This race will continue to grow. For runners around the North Leinster area this 10 mile race serves as a perfect training progress stepping stone to the Bohermeen Half Marathon which will take place in March 2016 and is located only 15 minutes drive from Trim. This yet again proves that a great club with great local support and volunteers can organise great road races!
Timing and event management was provided by SportsSplit. Their website is here [www.sportsplits.com/] and will contain the results to today's race.
We have photographs from the one mile mark and the finish at 200 meters to go - they are all available on Flickr [https://www.flickr.com/photos/peterm7/sets/72157664217257512]

Let's get a bit technical: We use Creative Commons Licensing for these photographs
We use the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License for all our photographs here in this photograph set. What does this mean in reality?
The explaination is very simple.
Attribution- anyone using our photographs gives us an appropriate credit for it. This ensures that people aren't taking our photographs and passing them off as their own. This usually just mean putting a link to our photographs somewhere on your website, blog, or Facebook where other people can see it.
ShareAlike – anyone can use these photographs, and make changes if they like, or incorporate them into a bigger project, but they must make those changes available back to the community under the same terms.
Above all what Creative Commons aims to do is to encourage creative sharing. See some examples of Creative Commons photographs on Flickr: www.flickr.com/creativecommons/
I ran in the race - but my photograph doesn't appear here in your Flickr set! What gives?
As mentioned above we take these photographs as a hobby and as a voluntary contribution to the running community in Ireland. Very often we have actually ran in the same race and then switched to photographer mode after we finished the race. Consequently, we feel that we have no obligations to capture a photograph of every participant in the race. However, we do try our very best to capture as many participants as possible. But this is sometimes not possible for a variety of reasons:
►You were hidden behind another participant as you passed our camera
►Weather or lighting conditions meant that we had some photographs with blurry content which we did not upload to our Flickr set
►There were too many people - some races attract thousands of participants and as amateur photographs we cannot hope to capture photographs of everyone
►We simply missed you - sorry about that - we did our best!
You can email us petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com to enquire if we have a photograph of you which didn't make the final Flickr selection for the race. But we cannot promise that there will be photograph there. As alternatives we advise you to contact the race organisers to enquire if there were (1) other photographs taking photographs at the race event or if (2) there were professional commercial sports photographers taking photographs which might have some photographs of you available for purchase. You might find some links for further information above.
Don't like your photograph here?
That's OK! We understand!
If, for any reason, you are not happy or comfortable with your picture appearing here in this photoset on Flickr then please email us at petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com and we will remove it as soon as possible. We give careful consideration to each photograph before uploading.
I want to tell people about these great photographs!

This is a photograph from the 4th and final round of the Mullingar Road League which was held in Belvedere House and Gardens, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath, Ireland on Wednesday 28th May 2014 at 20:00. This was the final race in the 2014 series. A music festival had been held in the grounds of Belvedere House on the previous weekend and there was concerns that the race tonight would have to be moved outside the gardens. However the ground-staff and Mullingar Harriers worked hard to ensure that the race could go ahead and follow it's normal route. The race follows the roads and trails around Belvedere and is a very testing 5KM route. The race is promoted by Mullingar Harriers for the Pat Finnerty Memorial Cup. Competitors need to run 3 races out of the 4 races in May (any order) to be considered in the overall placing in categories at the conclusion of the league. Over 350 people took part in tonight's event. The weather was perfectly summery with beautiful warm sunshine with little or no breeze. Perfect running conditions. The presentations for the end of the league and a vast array of refreshments were provided afterwards in the Cafe. Runners were able to stay around and chat in the evening sunshine. The Mullingar Road League 2014 will go down as another success in the history of this great series.

Day three hundred thirty-one/365.
This view from the multi-media controls of a local church may seem to be part of a television ministry or a large, independent church. But, it's simply a well-established United Methodist church. Projected words, photos, animations, and videos are not only commonplace in Protestant worship, but they are also expected my many people who come to align their lives with God.
Does multi-media help worshipers in their spiritual quest? Or, are churches catering to the quest for entertainment and the public's insatiable desire for multi-tasking?
I think the former. In our culture, people have a hard time relating to "talking heads." And, visuals can illustrate a point or deliver music in a way that's never been seen before our generation.
Multimedia worship is here to stay.
My first meatloaf is perfect! Totally made up the recipe
3 lbs of ground turkey
2 eggs
1 pkg cornbread stuffing
1/3 c milk
Spices to taste--Tastefully Simple Seasoned Salt, onion powder, ground red pepper, black pepper
Mix it all together. I got two loaves out of this. I let it sit in the fridge overnight (which was like, um, four hours for me!) so the stuffing mix had time to soften up. I put it in at 350 for almost two hours? I can't even remember. Either way, it came out juicy and bubbling, firm but moist. I spread a little bit of plain spaghetti sauce on top and put it back in for just a few minutes. It added the perfect bit of tang to the meat--which was already flavorful to begin with. Who wants a bland meatloaf??
I loved the turkey flavor vs. beef--ground beef does nothing for me unless it's a burger. I made my amazing mashed potatoes (the secret is cream cheese!) and boiled some mixed veggies and had a very nice dinner. Eric loved it--along with a slice of apple pie everyone said was to die for, terrific, amazing, yada yada. He confessed, "I think I'm falling in love with you." haha!
