Så ankom vi Wanaka, et rigtig skønt sted i den sydlige provins Otago. Igår var vi ved franz josef gletcheren, meget spændende, hvor vi var helt ude ved dens "terminal face". New zealand er det eneste sted i verden foruden argentina, hvor gletchere går ned i en temperet regnskov, men her har vi to, med blot 20 km afstand. Vi besøgte den anden (fox) idag. MEN da det er regnskov, er det vist ligesom at vinde i lotto at se dem i solskin, de får 7 METER ! vand om året i dette område - og vi fik desværre 250 mm igår (på 14 timer) - men spændende alligevel. Det var dog lækkert at komme lidt med af kysten, og ud i solskinnet igen...
