Working on a multilingual Joomla 1.7 site using custom language files & modified version of extensions.joomla.org/extensions/languages/language-editi... Translators have only access to their language (Joomla ACL).
Langauge strings are loaded via article overrides in the template folder and all visible language files (menu, modules, content) are loaded via this way.

Through my walks around Hong Kong and archiving of illuminated I have noticed that some businesses have chosen to use multiple pieces of signage. This is most likely done to maximise exposure, as well as make that area attract people's attention. Another observation that is evident in this example multilingual signs. Similar to multi-signs, this is done for exposure reasons; trying to appeal to the masses.

A family friendly evening of photography, poetry and music was held at the Volcano Theatre on 24 November 2017.
The event was part of Cross-Language Dynamics – Reshaping Community, one of four programmes within the Open World Research Initiative of the Arts and Humanities Research Council (OWRI).
Part of ‘Being Human 2017’ - the UK wide Festival of Humanities. This was one of 12 Swansea led events, organised by the Research Institute for Arts and Humanities, Swansea University.
The festival is led by the School of Advanced Study, University of London, in partnership with the Arts & Humanities Research Council and the British Academy.
