This hot spring has mud bath and rinse ponds as well as natural steam rooms. Does it extract toxins? Does it help your skin? I doubt it. But it does smell of sulfer and dry into a dust that makes a mess of everything...including my camera.

The boy I babysit deciding that dirt is the best toy. I agree.
I would like this photo more if he hadn't moved right when I snapped it, cutting off the top of his head.
Amtrak’s National Train Day 2010 on Saturday May 8 saw celebrations at railroad facilities across the US. Along with activities for the kiddies and a variety of displays and demonstrations, Chicago’s Union Station featured the “Blues Journey”; which told the story of the northward migration from the Mississippi Delta which brought the Blues to Chicago where it was electrified and transformed into today’s modern Blues sound.
To mark the Journey, Big Bill and “Mud” Morganfield…both sons of the great bluesman Muddy Waters…were joined by Bobby Rush on the Legendary City of New Orleans. The train left New Orleans on Friday afternoon May 7…the jam session broke out shortly after the train pulled out of Memphis’ Central Station and went on until the wee hours. After arriving in Chicago, the three musicians performed in Union Station’s Great Hall along with an all-star band including Kenny “Beedy Eyes” Smith (son of Willie “Big Eyes” Smith), Harmonica Hinds and others.
I flew to Memphis on Friday, May 7 and joined the blues train for the ride north. I managed to capture some images along the way during this most memorable journey. I can’t wait to see what Amtrak comes up with for Train Day 2011!
